Could it be true that the photo of Prince Andrew with the young lady (forget her name) could be fake. Since I heard about it I studied the photo and his left hand around her waist looks a bit iffy in terms of indenting and creasing. What do you think?

Forensic photographic analysis comes in slightly cheaper than £12m. Move along now.

I personally wouldn't classify Prince Andrew as a paedophile or a rapist.
He was a friend of Epstein and Maxwell (big mistake) and as such, he was offered the 'company' of a young woman as I'm sure many of their acquaintances were.
P. Andrew was not married and he was tempted.
As she didn't say no to him, (she did say she was never allowed to say no as she would be out on her ear) then this doesn't make him a rapist.
As she was 17 yrs old, this doesn't make him a paedophile, just a very stupid man.
If by paying the large amount of money to her meant that P. Andrew didn't have to go to America to face charges, then I'm sure that is what he was advised to do.
I'm not a fan of his, but I do think he paid a large price (not just money) for what he did/did not do.
Minty, don't compare Epstein and Maxwell to Brady and Hindley.
What they did was nearer to what the Wests did.

// As she was 17 yrs old... (cut)... just a very stupid man //

More than a stupid man. PA is guilty of committing a very serious sex crime with an underage girl. Period!

Those OPs who choose to overlook this are quite simply apologists.
Zebu, she wasn’t underage - and that’s why that isn’t what she accused him of.
// she wasn’t underage //

She was 17 when they hooked up in London, remember? That makes her underage. PA was in serious breach of English Law. Both PA and his legal team knew it!

The idea that he could have 'come clean' was not an option!

He went to great lengths to deny he'd ever met her. At one alleged meeting he even made out it couldn't possibly have been him since he was in an eaterie (Pizza Hut I think) with his children. Quite remarkable powers of recollection as this occurred well over a decade ago.

Why OPs on this board will not recognise he committed a serious sex crime is totally beyond me!

//that isn’t what she accused him of.//

I am well aware of this.

I have challenged all those who think that it was OK because she was only 17. It's not OK. He was guilty under English law of committing a serious crime. Had he come clean he would have been in more bother.

The age of consent in England is 16. She was not underage.
The age of consent in England and Wales is 16. This is the age when young people of any sex, gender or sexual orientation can legally consent to taking part in sexual activity. This means that sexual activity between two or more people is always unlawful if at least one of the people is under the age of 16.
there is also legal protection against the sexual exploitation of under-18s.
Jno, that’s pushing it. Had that law been invoked we’d have known about it.
// The age of consent in England is 16. She was not underage. //

The law is quite clear in this regard;
It is illegal for 16/17 year olds to engage in sexual activity with a person in a POSITION OF TRUST.

Hence his constant denials of ever having known Guiffre. If PA was not aware of the implications to 'come clean', his legal team most certainly did. To reiterate, had PA confessed to the episode that took place in London, UK police would have been compelled to investigate. Their findings would have inevitably led to the indictment of PA!

Zebu - can you please copy and paste that law here please so we can see it. Thank you
I think zebu is the one committing an offence - it's called libel!
zebu there is no such law nor could their be, "position of trust" is too subjective. The age of consent is 16, in UK. In the US it varies but in New York state it was 17.
Zebu, he didn't commit a crime. You're wrong. Accept it.
if he had sex with someone who was being trafficked then he definitely raped her
“ Why OPs on this board will not recognise he committed a serious sex crime is totally beyond me!”

because loyalty to the royal family comes first
In what universe would His Royal Dryness be a person in a position of trust?
Nonsense.
