James is pulling Louis Smith's leg and he is bravely trying some fairly strange new (for him) foods. Poor soul even got food hell (squid) instead of food heaven (chicken) and then James showed him the beautifully cooked chicken and whisked it away again and made him eat the squid. What a nice young man!

Quiet day here today .My brother was coming for lunch but he's got a stonker of a cold so told him to stay at home. The last thing I want is a cold.
Sorry to hear your OH is still suffering Jno,hope things improve soon ,you can't possibly eat all those choc and cheeses by yourself .....surely not :)
Hello folks. Blustery here today . Queued for 30 mins in PO tosend hija €200 from Mr N. Then we had a few drinks and now hes prepared the lunch.
Buonasera... Come sta?

Me and my big Italian-ish mouth. I casually said I'd like to speak the language and they took me seriously, starting with a bar of Italian chocolate. It's rather nice.

Hello Lottie, sorry to hear you're having a tough time, I hope 2018 brings you better health.

Had lots of fabulous presents and a lovely xmas day at my sister's. The Tarquins came yesterday. Once the mad flurry of opening their presents was over all the ankle snappers wanted to play with was the box of old toys and empty cardboard tubes as they always do.

Lazy day today, listening to the wind and rain and trying out my new illuminated make up mirror. Chi è il più bello di tutti loro?

Ciao Bellas! bitsy piecey day here because the weather was so appalling. Going shopping tomorrow though :) Got to do a little bit of tortoise checking before I can go to bed because I have had to tweak their heating.
Buonasera to you too Robinia and everyone else.
What a grim day it's been weatherwise , lashing with rain and blowing a gale.
Snow forecast for tonight as well.
Quiet day again and it was 45 years ago today we got married and it was snowing then.
Only a few more days of crimbo limbo and it'll all be over until next September:)
Hope you're all ok . Keep warm folks.
Lo specchio per il trucco illuminato dice che lo sei Robinia .
Shall I lend you my Montalbano DVDs :)
Thank you Jno.That's a lovely picture .
I remember my Mum telling me to take a coat for when we came out of the register office as the weather was so cold .I was glad I took her advice as we slithered across the icy car park to the restaurant where we had the reception.
It cost us about eighty quid to get married and that included my dress, bouquet and the food and drink. Money well spent :)
spendthrift! Our clothes were homemade. A tenner or so for the registry office and new m-i-l paid for lunch for the half-dozen guests.

I still suspect I was robbed...

happy anniversary Shaney and I wish you many more.
Thanks Woofy. It hasn't all been plain sailing. We've had some humdingers of rows over the years.Good job he's a patient man as I can be very quick tempered although I like to think I've mellowed a bit now ..haha.
Some weddings seem to cost a small fortune these days.

Morning all.

Happy Anniversary Shaney and Mr S. Thats a long time. Yes we had some humdingers too and now weve both mellowed. Have a lovely day together.
Dont think ours cost that much. The only new thing was my green/beige tiered hippie dress. Sister did the catering at m-i-l house and dad in law drove us. Oh i did pick up a posy of anenomes on the way. I wanted sweet pea but out of season.
