James is pulling Louis Smith's leg and he is bravely trying some fairly strange new (for him) foods. Poor soul even got food hell (squid) instead of food heaven (chicken) and then James showed him the beautifully cooked chicken and whisked it away again and made him eat the squid. What a nice young man!

Thanks for explaning that shaney. Mine took years to be diagnosed, dr was watching blood tests, it hovered at 7.5 for ages and then went to 10 and that was it.
Oh new page and I am in the wormhole! Never mind Ill have another glass od sparkling cider.
we've been out for a mammogram in Tesco's car park (presumably the hospitals are all full), then to M&S for some of their juicy winter oranges plus some bubbly to take to sis on The Big Day.

Were M and S sold out of Mammograms Jno? We went and did errands yesterday, Tesco the bank and the post office. Today we went to M and S and now the shopping is done. The house looks massively untidy but festive and we are all happy bunny rabbits.
> > > > thows sprouts at shaney and jno....frozen ones

Haha, I asked for it didn't I? Apologies for my anti-xmas rant, I was tired of it all.
Today has been glorious, mild and sunny and I had an hour in the garden, pretending it wasn't December at all. I think the world and his wife were on the move, the main roads around my area were crazy.

Ouch ..those frozen sprouts hurt Robinia .How long have you been cooking them :)
Yes, we're all sorted for the festivities, I think.
Mammograms in Tesco's car park? Blimey ,they'll be whipping out appendixes and doing hip replacements in the butchery department soon.
Watched some more of The Crown tonight Neti .It's so good. I'm up to the bit where she sent the Duke of Windsor packing.
Night all .
well, we finally got to lunch with jno jnr and his lady friend and she was really nice. I thought that about the last one, of course. He even brought us home in an Uber, which is a first for me.
Evening all. Weve done our Ibiza xmas trip. Very nice too, then we cruised two local bars but i was on coffee and had enough. Its nice to be back home.
Yes Shaney she is good our Maj isnt she. Hes a buzzard.
bangs saucepan lids together

Wakey, wakey! I hope those sprouts haven't boiled dry, they've still got another thirty hours to go.
Ding Dong Merrily.....
No good shouting and making a palaver Robi. I was up and tidying up ages ago. Then as its so cold I took my porridge and cuppa back to bed. Mr N has gone on the search for firewood ( i asked him ages ago, so why now?) Im surprised hes not moaning in bed with a thick head.
Think we'll be having a quiet day!
tut, we haven't even thought about our Ibiza Christmas trip yet, neti, where does the time go?
Just back from lunch where I actually had grilled sole and it delish. Grilled goats cheese for starters and spanish version of apple pie. Washed down with bottle of red and lemonade. Fire is roaring away.
I messaged Ozzy to tell him I'd seen Santa (on the tracker) land in Perth. The bad news was he dropped all the presents down their non-existent chimney. He said he was sitting outside with a cold beer...how the upside down people live.

I might be back later or tomorrow morning but if not....
Wishing you all a healthy, happy, peaceful Christmas. xx

Who put gritty bath cubes in the bran tub again, tut?
I may be otherwise engaged tomorrow, in deepest Essex, so merry Christmas to all.
Wishing a happy Christmas to you and yours .
Don't get too merrily high on ding dong .
I thought we gave those bath cubes to Neti .She's sneaked them back again. Those hairnets are still kicking around though .I think the moths have been at 'em.
Hope you all have a lovely day xxx

Merry Christmas to you all. Its chilly and drizzly here. I don't like the look of those bran tub chocolates either.......
I have received a lot of food and drink-related gifts, which is rather melancholy as the donor can't do much of either at the moment. We're still waiting for biopsy results which may well show an H Pylori infection and prompt a course of antibios, but in the meantime OH is still in discomfort and eating like a bird while I have boxes of biscuits and chocs and cheeses to myself.
Merry Christmas to my biddie mates xx
We have invited a lonely soul for lunch who drinks rather a lot. Hes bringing his own!!
We are on the weak cider and Mr N is cooking the xmas feast. We realised we have no special desert but have mince pies and a very old xmas pud and instant custard if necessary.
I did use the bathcubes and replaced them with cat litter - sorry!
