Not bad eh Woofie.

My son is very good at tracking down cars. He found my pink one back in 2003.

New one is nearly nine years old though, but a really good price and a got a trade in for the old one too!!!

This afternoon, I have a clear out of ppw and collected a huge box full of stuff to burn or shred. Why do we hang on to ppw, old bills, etc. etc. Never again will I do so, unless it is really important stuff. Did I really need old phone bills going back to 2006 and, even worse, old mortgage details that were about 30 years old!!

I feel a sense of satisfaction that I have done this.

Nice car Lottie. I keep thinking I'll change my Focus but my Car man says it's fine and in good working order. So I don't bother.
My NF is coming round for a drink tonight and tell me how her daughters Graduation presentation went. It's also the final of the Snooker so that'll have to be on with the sound down. I'm thinking. She wont mind as long as I give her a Baileys in her coffee.
Shaney I actually finished the Skeleton today. It took me about 4 hours on and off. That's only the second time with this new compiler but I think I'm getting this drift now thank goodness.

I managed a good walk this morning in the wind. It blew me one way. I was about an hour of what I call stepping out round the houses where I live. So I feel better for that and now I'm getting sleepy. I've already had one Coffee + B.

Yes its lovely getting rid. I crushed a load of cardboard boxes today for the bin men tomorrow. Actually today was pretty productive once I was awake. I started blueberry and ginger liqueur and planted 3 spud bags, Duke of York Earlies, International Kidney (On Jersey they are called Jersey Royal) and a bag of Jerusalem Artichokes. I have the horticultural show in July in view....must win a prize this year. I have a deal with my friend. He is making scrumpy with apples from his garden and if we don't win we are going to get sloshed.
I spoke to my Sis (big one) three times today too, I saw a pretty pearl necklace on qvc and thought it would be lovely for middle Sis for her birthday. Big Sis phoned for a natter and I told her and she had almost done the same thing..anyway she decided to get her matching earrings so we both net surfed till we found something to match the necklace.

Anyone who wants to chuck me out with the rubbish please feel free...I already feel as though I've been bowled over a cliff in a barrel...I don't know why I ache this much again, apart from the headaches I thought I was settling down after the initial hrt withdrawal...tut bloody tut.

Oddly enough I've just been vegetating in front of qvc woofy and I saw & loved those pearls...my favourite was that expensive (it would be) bangle at the end with black pearls. The picture doesn't do it justice

Any chucker outers can come round here and sort Mr S and his paperwork out with pleasure.
I regularly shred stuff but he hangs on to the last knockings .I got rid of sackfuls when we moved ( old bills from the year dot and other ancient documentation ) only for him to create another paper mountain . He's a typical accountant .paper,paper and more bloody paper .

I've just watched Call the Midwife .Miranda Hart was brilliant . Very jolly hockey sticks .She portrays Chummy really well. Just as I imagined her in the book.
I sit clutching my stomach when they start pushing . ..lol...

When I gave birth I only had two period like pains, and then she was born, all in 25mins,(managed to get wristwatch off but jumper and bra were still on) so no, I don't feel anything when I see women in labour. The old midwife used to slap their faces if the women screamed, said that it tightened up the lower areas, all this was in a private clinic. I was eating paella half an hour later, complete with rabbit's head. It hurts now when I think of that!!

I had wonderful pregnancy and a horrible horrible time when sprog arrived. Ended up with an emergency caesarian and everything went wrong. The worse pain ever was in my left leg when the doctor who gave me the epidural put the needle in the wrong bit of back. The wrong bits of me went numb and I ended up with a general anaesthetic. It was a nighmare!!

Had mine in the Netherlands .Great believers in natural childbirth .Don't think they had ever heard so many English swearwords :)
Very good aftercare though .You get what is called kraamzorg as there was no paternity leave in those days . Sort of midwives come nurses who come to you for about a week to ten days afterwards and do everything including the cooking!

Couldn't give birth naturally, baby wrong way round, pelvis too narrow, baby too active and head too big!! But they let me bloody try for a day. I told them I would need a caesar and they sort of agreed but thought perhaps natural might work. Nearly ended up with no baby at all!!

Then ended up in hospital for two weeks and Mr LL had to come in every day because the staff were so lazy. Horrible, horrible, horrible. I was also hallucinating because they were giving me codeine and they had put my bladder to sleep and I had no idea that it was at bursting point until, fortunately the doctor realised what had happened.

Poor you Lottie what an awful time. With my first I didn't know what to expect and just let it happen. I was away from home. Had to have a blood transfusion but I was ok. I just didn't seem to care then only that my baby was ok. They just came one day to my bed and took him and I shouted at them 'where you taking him' and they said he needs a blood test because he's yellow. No explanation or anything. I just cried- poor Steadier. But he was ok in the end. Thanks to WLA me. Jaundice apparently.
My second was very easy - 10 days overdue. They started me off at 12 and he was born at 3.p.m. 9ib 6. Trust Steady, always gets there in the end.

Right - Good morning all. It's off to the Drs. in half and hour then I have a young man coming with a digger thingy to just do the bottom of my garden where I trimmed back the bushes last year. I've been waiting since then for it to be done but the ground is quite soft at the moment to now's the time he said.
Then this afternoon - School.
My NF didn't come last night so I'll be in touch with her to see if she's ok.

Morning all. Seems a bit chilly here, but sun is shining.

When I gave birth here in Ibiza, I got no outside help as I they expect grandparents to help out and they expect families and friends to teach new mothers how to breastfeed etc, (now that was a killer, Mr N had to hold me down, so the doctor stopped it! after a week) My mother tried to help but we didn't get on with it at all. I was in the clinic for one day and then left (it was too expensive to stay) so baby wasn't checked until we went to a private paedratrician (sp!) who gave her a thorough check and she was a bit jaundiced, but Ok. She was 3kgs 600 gram (normal, considering that we were expecting a small baby and had borrowed money for an incubator). As I am Rh neg I had to have a donor standing by in case! No wonder I didn't have anymore. I actually lost twins before, and two after so I did try.
