Parts Of Songs You Don't Realise The Meanings ( Well I Didn't )
Freezing Saturday afternoon so we are warm watching Banned Songs by the BBC that were on BBC 4
I always thought Lola by the KINKS was about a prostitute , it was about a transvestite although it was banned for that, it was because it originally contained the words Coca Cola ??
It's really worth a watch , the BBC 'banned' all the Death Songs like Tell Laura I love her and Johnny Remember Me
I want your Sex by George Michael

He fell for her but found out her age before anything happened and sent her packing with a flea in her ear. He didn't fall for because she was underage. I think a lot of young men have been in that predicament.
In the US, Louie Louie by The Kingsmen was banned, even though the lyrics are completely unintelligible, thanks to the singer's bad teeth, combined with a bad hangover, and the microphone dangling from the studio ceiling, and out of his reach.
And Rumble by Mink Wray was also banned because it was feared it might encourage teenage rioting - and that was an instrumental!!!
(It's on a TV ad now, so times must have changed a bit . !!!!)
