I've read through all this, coming in at the (so far) end of the thread, where scarves are an issue. If I were to protest publicly, I would expect my face to be seen because I would not be ashamed of my views and would be prepared to stand up for them.
Thus far, the BF stance seems fine. It is hard to disagree with their main statements - but I don't really like the look of them when one goes a bit deeper. At least I can see them - and if their opponents feel it necessary to cover their faces then I am not prepared to give them the time of day, so the BF is preferable on that basis.
