The Head of the Hunt said; "It's magnificent that so many well-wishers make such a huge effort to get here to show their support."

Do you think it is "magnificent"? Are you a "supporter"?

No I cant Islay. But theres a difference between illegal and immoral. And gaining pleasure from blood sports is both immoral and psychotic.
//I personally would like the hunters to be chased through the countryside by a pride of lions and see how they would like to be ripped limb from limb. Vile lot.//

My own sentiments hereiam.

Would it be more acceptable if we had a rabies epidemic?
Islay, indeed it was and guess what? I was ill and psychotic at the time. Difference between you and me is that I know that I was ill and psychotic at the time and have since received treatment. You don't. So please have another go at justifying your love of blood.
Thanks nailit.

Let me ask who is the bigger 'pest' here, the poor much maligned fox or the vile humans who love to torture them ???
Really nailit - finding that a bit difficult to believe - but hey no worries I don't have to justify anything to the 'likes of you'!
Judging by the majority of the answers on this thread hereiam, I would say that the concensus would be that the pest is the psychos who love to dress up, blow bugles and go tally ho-ing in pursuit of an animal to kill
You don't have to Islay because you cant without outright admitting that you enjoy seeing an animal been tortured. Can you?
//finding that a bit difficult to believe//
Blimey, youre a psychologist that knows all my personal life now, as well as a 'pest conroller'. No end to your talents.
Maybe the answer is genetically breeding a wild dangerous, vicious bear sized fox who can also turn from prey to predator and give the hunters a fair fight. People would pay to see that.
^ I certainly would.
lmao nailit you are so fricken funny - you have made me laugh so much but I must be off now - I have to walk my rescue dogs, feed my rescue cats and go and check on the ferals that I look after that live in my orchard!!
Islay hasn't at any point said she enjoys animals being tortured.
She wont deny it though ummm.

This is turning into a Playground Spat atm, both sides appear to be 'flogging dead horses' why not have a little break and try and come up with something original ;o)
nailit at 16:38 - agree.
She's refusing to justify herself, imo.
> I wouldn't know about that, but it's clear that you are indifferent about cruelty to animals

I'm not. I hate the idea of lions or elephants being hunted, for example. Rats, that's a different matter, they can be exterminated. Foxes ... I see as closer to rats than lions. Also I eat meat and fish, which involves animals being killed, so I like any omnivorous human can't be against the killing of animals for my pleasure. I also deliberately kill wasps and flies, and drive a car in the full knowledge that lovely moths may be splatted on the windscreen.

As soon as you accept that it's OK to kill (not any animal for any reason by any means but) some animals for some reasons by some means, the question becomes which animals, for which reasons, by which means. For a start, using a means that is not cruel would be good ...

Now, foxhunting has been found to be cruel and is therefore illegal, so there's not much to discuss there. If this Government chooses to waste Parliamentary time with another debate over foxhunting when so much time is already being wasted over Brexit, it would be such an outrageous abuse that even Corbyn should get in next time around.
Of course shes refusing to justify herself ummmm. She has stated that she has ridden with hunts just for the chase. What did she think the end result of a chase was going to be?
