It was announced on the BBC London news tonight that the Mayor of London has acceded to the wishes of Muslims in London to grant millions of pounds to assist in the security of Mosques. No doubt as a result of the attack on two Mosques in Christchurch. Whilst it would be abhorrent for a similar attack on any place of worship in the UK it would be irresponsible to ignore that particular threat. That is a given.
Does any one believe the Muslim Council of Great Britain will actually meet any security measures suggested half way if their security is to be subsidised by Londoners?
It would be horribly ironic should a 'being' enter a Mosque disguised head to foot in a Burka carrying a couple of MAC 10 or Scorpion miniature under their garb and perpetrate a similar massacre. Will Muslim women be allowed to continue to wear this hideous dress or,indeed, subject themselves to a strict body search when entering a Mosque? If not. So called increased security will be a sham.

Surrendering some of our freedoms?

I've never been to a concert/festival where there wasn't lots of security.

But you can't thoroughly check every person.
Absolutely true.

Mr aog
I fear we are achieveing no reasonable responses here. We are merely fattening up the troll. I wish he would find a real Mulberry bush to chase round and stop trying to lead us around one here.
Spath would see no suspicion in a pantomine horse clip clopping round a place ofworship!!

It is advisable when entering some Sharia-law controlled no go areas.

"Perhaps you should read this? "

Interesting. I'm unsure why a Muslim would attack another Muslim. They beleive in numbers, and the same god, so that tells me the Muslim terrorists were in fact not Muslim, but just raving loonies.

go circle jerk ur anti burqa buddies.
Troll do things like, personally attack the person instead of their point, they antagonise the person in debate to provoke a reaction. They go off topic and down alley ways to try and make their point seem useful.

These are all things YOU have done in this thread retro. Not me. I have stayed topical and in a discursive manor whilst being the target of abuse and a pompous arrogant attitude.
AOG- that 'article' by the Daily Mail is 8 years old. There are no Sharia areas in the UK, it would be illegal because it would contravene the right of those who do not choose to subject themselves to Sharia law, which is entirely voluntary for those Muslims who are happy having Sharia courts deal with their personal affairs. UK law ALWAYS trumps it. That is a random nutter. you might get random nutters putting up whatever signs they like, but it's no more legally binding that me putting up a sign on te house of commons saying ' CaligogirlVille- anyone not wearing a hat will be shot'. It's ridiculous and not legally enforceable but it does not help when people give it credence in the press :(
even if it was true though, I don't see why a Muslim would attack another Muslim in the name of the same faith, let alone the place of worship. It makes no sense. It would mean the attacker, isn't actually a Muslim.

//Retro, which one is carrying a swiss army knife?//

Probably all of them. They have no need to hide the fact that they could be carrying them in a public place. They are not illegal with a blade in excess of 2 1/2" or a lockable blade. Whereas a MAC10 appropriately called 'the spray and pray' and the Scorpion SMG are both very small machine pistols which are prohibited weapons in the UK and would have to be hidden by a potential mass murderer
That was easy. Next stupid question please.

Which one has a mac10 under their skirt?

Youare not posting sensible examples. You are just making yourself look stupid.
Tell me who were responsible for blowing up this *** Mosque and then tell me what religion both these factions are? I'll help you part of the answer is in the link.

Your answer implies you have no clue if they are a threat or not. That would suggest they are a potential security threat.
To ignore the possible threat makes any enhanced security measures in the UK futile. What is more it does not cost anything to implement the ban of this type of attire.
"You are not posting sensible examples."

There was ONE variable between your example and mine. That was the fact that the face is visible. If you think you can tell whats in someones pocket by their face, then maybe you should be in counter terrorism?
