One thing is certain, emmie and that is that it will not portray a true picture of the spread of Islam across the UK. There are tens of thousands, if not more, people about whom the authorities know nothing and they will not be included in the census. There are also large numbers about whom the authorities do know a little but who will not be included in any census returns. The question about religion is voluntary and many people will not choose to complete it (as did I). If the census is to be relied upon to gauge the spread of Islam I'm afraid it will be wildly inaccurate. The government actually has no idea how many people live in the UK, let alone which religion they might follow.

New Judge, islam is a disease, quote - How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy. The effects are apparent in many countries, improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live.
Islam is not a disease it is a religion... and using this kind of dehumanizing language only serves to demonise muslims and implicitly makes the case for their persecution or eradication. I do not agree with the protest and I think these images were possibly justifiable in an educational context but this kind of hateful language really is not warranted and is potentially and perhaps intentionally harmful.
bobinwales - // /What really shocked me is the fact that this school is 70% muslim !!//
Am not sure why. //
Look at the school's website - it is offering a good level of education in a nurturing environment, and that is exactly the kind of school that Muslim parents want for their children.
The word will get round the community that Muslim pupils are thriving there, the Muslim parents will apply, their children will meet the academic and pastoral criteria, and in they go. No surprise at all.
My wife was Deputy Head at an inner city Catholic Primary School, and around eight per cent of the intake was Muslim, for exactly the same reason.
Muslims take education seriously - they don't regard it as a free baby sitting service like so many white families do.

What a load of tosh that 'white families' use school as a free baby sitting service !! My point, but I'm sure my point is clear, is that this is England, not Iran or any other muslim *** hole, and we have a majority of muslim pupils in our English schools - why was this allowed to happen ?? We are fast losing our identity and our own culture to a culture I despise. They protest like this outside our schools because they know they will get away with it and this country will kow tow to them, like we are doing - how stupid we have become ...
burlyshirley - // What a load of tosh that 'white families' use school as a free baby sitting service !! //
That was something of a loaded comment, and by no means meant seriously, so please don;t get het up about it.

Your inference is that all schools have a majority Muslim intake, which is obviously not the case - except in areas where they are a large contingent of the population. The law requires children to go to school, so Muslim children attend school as well.

The fact that you 'despise' Muslim cultture comes as no surprise, but the notion that we are 'losing our identity and our own culture' is, as you so quaintly put it, complete tosh!!

I see no sign of anyone 'getting away' with anything, or any 'kow towing' going on, except in the fevered imaginations of the rabid right wing media, who appear to have you as a reader and believer of the pap they push every day.
I know from precious exchanges that you do not value my opinion Burlyshirley, so you can save yourself the trouble, and blood pressure, or responding, I will take your response as read, and that saves us both some valuable time.
