Could it possibly be our TROB approach to crime and non-punishment? Surely the savage should not have been out on the streets in the first place. Blaming the security services is like blaming the sheep dog for not rounding up all the sheep after you let them out.

AH, if he killed because he was a psychopath you must concede that an awful lot of psychopaths adhere to Islam. Furthermore, Islam cannot be compared to any other religion and until apologists acknowledge that, the world is fighting this appalling philosophy with one hand tied behind its back. People like you do no one except Islamic extremists any favours...

AH: "It really does no harm to British people if Muslim women choose to go out covered up - and I am simply asking if you ever consider that it may be their choice, rather than the simple knee-jerk reaction that it is a manifestation of their oppression." - perlease Andy! is that why their dads murder them when they don't? On what planet are you dreaming?
Mozz - // I'm not continuing the earlier discussion, as the migraine from banging my head against the wall overcame me, but if Islam is the cause, what's the solution? How do you propose we usher in your bright, sunshiney, Muslim -free Britain, Tora? //
As you and I know, TTT is somewhat entrenched, to put it politely, in his attitudes towards Islam, so I doubt he would be really happy unless every single last one of them lived anywhere else but here.
That's my suposition, I am not presuming to speak for him, nor will I be engaging him on the subject on this thread, which I advised yesterday, and of course, by now he has forgotten.

AH, its not a knee jerk reaction on my part, i considered long before posting, i do indeed find the wearing of a piece of apparel like the burkha alien to my culture, if women choose to wear it, then ok, but i suggest that many would rather not, but are pressured into it by their families. The fact remains that many of those crimes that TTT listed are happening on a daily basis, FGM has to be the most disgusting thing you can do to any girl, woman. Can you honestly tell me that you don't find it so. Many of these people ARE living in the dark ages, and their takeover of our culture in many ways is what concerns me most.
Mozz: "How do you propose we usher in your bright, sunshiney, Muslim -free Britain, Tora?" - well I haven't suggested a muslim free Britain, I just want them to join civilisation. We need to stop being terrified of being labelled with isms and deal harshly with all the barbarity they do at the first sniff not after years of hand wringing as in the case of muslim rape and paedophile gangs for example.
// You don’t have to live with insulting me. AH. I’m not the one you’re insulting.// Naomi
yes Naomi I stand reproved: I will endeavour to keep my posts to the point - just as you do in the example
altho I confess - mine seem to fit in (pointless tedious gormless - but coloured wivva tinge of irony) just fine
Andie 06 30 R4 Mark Tully - on Mawlana al-Rumi Cel-alladin - the poet. v pop in the seventies and re pop now
Some of his poesy ( quatrains/surat ) is very C21 - which is why he is enjoying popularity. All the celebrants trumpet their ignorance of Turkish Arabic and Farsi - so you may enjoy it. They all miss out on his absence for 20y and he walks back itno the Madrasa and says - "now where was I?" - Mystic - he is the first whirla they say.

As TTT is fond of telling us, true Labour has not been in power since 1979.
So apparently this soft, liberal elite, terrorist loving state has not been brought in under a left wing regime.
The truth of the matter is that, no matter how right wing the government of the last 42 years has been, it hasn't been right wing enough for some.

emmie - // The fact remains that many of those crimes that TTT listed are happening on a daily basis ... //
Of course it does, and I have never, ever denied of 'apologised' for the appalling behaviour justified by those who regard it as simply observing their faith literaslly.
// FGM has to be the most disgusting thing you can do to any girl, woman. Can you honestly tell me that you don't find it so. //
I think that is possibly the most appalling question I have ever been asked in more than twenty years on AB, and I would not dignify it for a second by supplying an answer.
Anyone who knows me even slightly would know my attitude to anything so appalling as that, and I would have thought that, after ten years on here, you would be someonewho is firmly in that catagory.
// Many of these people ARE living in the dark ages, and their takeover of our culture in many ways is what concerns me most. //
Again, I would not deny that they are living in times which do not reflect our advances in tolerence and understanding, but as far as 'their takeover of our culture' - personally I see no such 'takeover' in any way that is at all meaningful, or longlasting - but as you have shown, you have absolutely no idea of how i think and feel, so maybe we should cease our exchange here before I write something I would regret.

AH: "Again, I would not deny that they are living in times which do not reflect our advances in tolerence and understanding, but as far as 'their takeover of our culture' - personally I see no such 'takeover' in any way that is at all meaningful, " - how far would it have to go before you did think their was a creeping assimilation occurring?
