We have just had christmas where the public go on a massive spending spree. It is not unusual for the shelves to be stripped of produce at this time of year.

No empty shelves in any of the three supermarkets I went to this morning, not were there any last week, my feeling it is far more to do with Omicron and people having to isolate rather than being able to work. Also it's turnaround time as the Christmas stuff is cleared and the Valentine's /Easter stock hasn't arrived yet as it isn't a business priority.
Fruit and veg are imported .....Why!...UK farmers can produce Quality fruit and veg on your door step, but the farmers cant get the labour to harvest them.
