Why won't our Police look into this? It is not acceptable to bring these backward practices here and not expect repercussions. We do not allow our women to be beaten and they are equals with men. If these people dont like our way of like why dont they push off to somewhere who does - not that I think these practices are acceptable anywhere

I do. I credited you with being able to read (unlike spice).
The biggest factor with any kind of violence, anywhere- including religion or culture- is that it is almost always committed by males. Not misandry- just fact- not my fault.
Blame different "cultures" all you like... it is inaccurate though. Different methods, causes, reasons- but over 95% same group of perpetrators.
I love men, I hate dishonesty.

pixie: "The biggest factor with any kind of violence, anywhere- including religion or culture- is that it is almost always committed by males. " - this post is about "Honour killings" or if you prefer Families murdering their own daughters and they are 100% muslim. In set theory, did you study any maths? you narrow the set to it's smallest boundry so yes they are men but all the men in the set are muslim, thus the set is muslim men. Anything else is just tarring the entire group with the brush of the more defined isolated group. So the identifying factor is "Muslim men", a subset of the much bigger set "men". geddit?
Yes. And be honest, ttt- how many times have you seen that clarified, either in an OP or thread (including here)?
It's usually just "muslims"- and also ignores the majority of peaceful ones.
I appreciate that you are now finally admitting it is not "muslim" overall... but there is a much bigger denominator.
