Is cognative like cognitive but for the the tribal?

SP, and speaking of cognitive abilities ....

And another AB thread goes seriously off course when the Trussites wake up. If only this site had some proper moderators.

The image that will come out of this event is Trump triumphant - punching the air. This had made him look strong and bullish, whilst Biden simply looks like a very old man with impaired cogntive (thank you Togo for the spellcheck that my Mac let through!) abilities.

Project 2025 - here we come!

JDavis //davebro @10.12. Quite possibly, but that's a practical rather than a moral objection.//

So you think "bad" people should be eliminated irrespective of what they may or may not do?

Gromit

(To go off topic for a mo)

It astonishes me that you're not a moderator.

Seriously...have you done something to the Ed that we don't know about???

// cogntive // ?

Joe Biden is in the room😂

Many would like Putin to be killed. Once one has that mindset and principle established, then who it applies to becomes subjective.

//Joe Biden is in the room😂//

It is what happens when someone tries to utilise a word that they don't understand.🤯

Not said that, Dave. How would you define 'bad' anyway?

> Is cognative like cognitive but for the the tribal?

The the? Come on, we all make mistakes, even you ... I blame mobile phones.

Good post Ellipsis.
Some people on here need reminding of their own posts, which repeatedly urge the killing of people they don't like.

Do we really need the spelling-police on this thread?

It is generally considered to be an argument lost when one has to resort to pointing out typos in an opponents comments....

Ahhh Togo - I was going go leave you alone but you came back for some more.

I'll explain. What you saw in my post was a typo. In other words, I understood the phrase but spelled it wrong (have a look at some of my previous posts - I make typos all the time).

What I was referring to was thhe ability of some to misinterpret statements because of their lack of cognitive abilities.

World of difference.

You'd have a point if I were citicisiing someone's spelling and had written:

"You're spelling and grammar are appalling"

You see the difference?

I'm sure that you have the cognitive abillitee.

Damn!

Ellipsis, I totally agree.

But pulling the thread back on track...it's good to see world leaders condemning the attack. You cannot win the argument with a gun - but I wouldn't surprise me if this rachets up the tension between the left and right in America - and it's already way too high right now.

I genuinely feel sorry for the US.

//Some people on here need reminding of their own posts, which repeatedly urge the killing of people they don't like.//

Would you care to indicate who you are referencing or are you letting your loose imagination take control again? There was an opportunity for you to condemn just that sort of sentiment on this very thread earlier.

The extreme tribalism of American politics, it won't be long before somone on the other side, tries to even the score.
And The long anticipated civil war replay commences.

Gromit

Yup...I was thinking the same thing this morning - I hope this isn't the start of a tit-for-tat escalation.

gromit, I'm at a loss to know which course you would have expected this thread to take.  There is no question, no hint from the OP at preferred 'direction' - it's simply an item of News posted, presumably, for open discussion.
