trump and putin are not "normal" politicians. they are people who intend to establish dictatorships. they aren't out to observe democratic norms. i am not ashamed to say that i was disappointed to hear this morning that donald trump was still alive.

if project 2025 gets implimented then the USA will stop being a democracy. its political system will resemble Russia's far more closely - elections in name only and de facto dictatorship. that is what trump and his team wish to create in the USA. there won't be any "next time".

he attempted to overthrow the government in his first term toratoratora. and yes he can just rip up the constitution if the people responsible for guarding it allow him to do that. the recent supreme court ruling is strong indication that they'll let him do whatever he wants.

I did say something like that - fewer illegals would have died (drowned) if effective action had been taken to stop the invasion at that that time.
