Why can't we all get on?

I have not been here long but get increasingly frustrated by the unhelpful and almost racist comments of some people on here.

Why can't all the people in this country live in peace. To constantly pick on muslims is very unfair. They only came here for a better life and I think it is the duty of all British people to ensure that they integrate as best as possible.

We should all go along to our local mosque and ask what we can do to help the muslim community. Maybe we could give them financial help or prey along side them to give them some sort of comfort during their hardship due to the narrow minded bigots in this country.

Perhaps it would help if people better understood islam. Maybe it would be good if islam was taught in our schools. I think that this would help us to understand muslims better and make for a better and more understanding society.

If we don't act now, we risk inflaming the extremists muslims. Better to spiritually connect with those that would advocate terrorism and try to lure them away from extremism.

Why pick the Finsbury Park Mosque admarlow? Competely at random? Or because you've read it's the most extreme one in the UK?

Did you enjoy your visit to the Mosque Bill? Did it enlighten you and make you more open minded and tolerant? Or did you run away once it was lit?

I picked it as it is the closest mosque to me, as therefore if I was to visit one it would be the easiest to get to.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for healthy debate and people disagreeing but it seems to me that people have stopped addressing the question and just carrying on petty arguments.

Fair play Addy (I had already looked), Juddlinkski is possibly a bit of a wind up merchant in that sense but maybe these are his actual views expressed here and that was just a silly question which I think was tongue in cheek from the start. Although as Hal points out, it detract a bit from those of us who were wavering more to Emma's way of thinking.

Anyway, I'm not defending or insulting Juddlinski... I'm merely saying that a question has been asked, a healthy debate ensued, (some I agreed with, some I didn't) and now it has desolved in to petty squabbling... What's the point?
