You're entitled to admire him as I am to despise him:)
He was not on leave when he made the video, he was at an airport on the way to duty in Cyprus. He is a leader of men and he should be setting an example to those men. He's a racist and there's no getting away from that.
As for not seeing yobs making sick folk smile, I am sure there are many who do community service but who do not get the publicity for doing so.

We really need to stop giving power to words.
My parents come from Sri lanka though I was born and brought up in England. I have been called P*** on various occasions including by friends last Friday night at a dinner party.
There was nothing more offensive than being called fat, ugly or whatever.
I have been insulted in the street by being called p*** - again, nothing more offensive that being called a b*stard, w***er or similar.
Having seen the video, I don't believe it was said in an offensive way or with malice.

It is offensive and it shows a lack of intelligence and complete ignorance.
When we had celeb BB with the Shilpa Shetty incident far more of a big deal was made of it, it seems as Harry is a Royal he gets away with it. These people are supposed to be examples for this country and they make idiotic comments like that.

The word is offensive because ignorant people use it for anybody of Asian appearance
Would one alo be classed an ignorant person, if one was to say "I am just popping down to the P**i shop", even when one knew that the shop was owned by a person of Pakistani origin?
Truthfully, can you tell by looking which country a person is from? I wouldn't know an Englishman from a Welshman from a Frenchman by sight.
Using your logic then Ethel, would it also be classified as offensive to call a Frenchman a BRIT even if he came from Brittany?
Or for that matter calling anyone from the numourous nations of the world who happen to have a light skin, Brits also?

I remember seeing an Only Fools and Horses a few years ago when Uncle Albert comes back with the shopping and said he has just been to the "P**i shop".
As this was shown on early evening TV I assume nobody thought it was offensive then.
So what has changed, our attitude to the word, or our sensitivity to any word or phrase that can be considered an insult.
It is the same with the word "black, which a few years ago was just a colour, now it is a form of insult and has even been removed from children's nursery rhymes.
Of course it could be argued that the behaviour of "some" black people has led to the word becoming an insult, but to remove it from everyday use is stupid.

You've made me laugh, oldgit - a Breton would have a fit at being called a Brit.
You know this as fact do you Ethel? Maybe you do, if so why hasn't this 'B' word also not been banned, if it upsets/offends them so much?
And why call it a **** shop? That is not what they are selling, is it?
No, they would soon go out of business if they did.
But while on the subject of the **** corner shop. When the corner shops were owned by the English, many were prosecuted for opening on Sundays, But when the majority were taken over by the Pakistanis (been much easier if I had been allowed to shorten this word) the Sunday trading laws were relaxed. And then when the supermarkets jumped on the band waggon, the laws were altered yet again putting a curb on their hours of opening, by allowing the corner shop to trade all day.
Canadians don't like being mistaken for Americans, New Zealanders don't like being called Australian.</i.
The Engish do not like being mistaken for Australians by the Americans also, but none of us have been able to get a ban put on these mistakes, liable to cause an offence.
