Come on get a grip!
Who are these people complaining about what Prince Harry said in the video?
**** is just short for for a person from Pakistan the same as Brit is short for a person from Britain and nobody gets pulled up for saying that!
Rag head!!!!!!!! Come on this is a term for people Killing our soldiers, Who cares if we affend them and soldiers have always had nick names for the ones they were fighting.
And swearing how dare he!!
What Planet are these people off?
This is the mallenium, people swear all the time.
I defy any one who says they would'nt swear while in a war zone and constantly looking over their shoulder.

It is absolutely ridiculous. He was referring to his mate in a jokey way. There was no malice whatsoever. If this friend had been making the video and referred to Harry as 'my gingernut friend' would there have been this big carry on ? No !
Eactomundo Jillius.
Leave the ruddy cheeked ginger guy alone.
Jillius

It's the equivalent of 'n!gger'.

It's not the equivalent of Gingernut.

It's the equivalent of 'C00n'. It's the equivalent of 'W0p'.

Not Gingernut.

World of difference.
I disagree sp1814 !
It can be just as offensive being called a gingernut or carrot top if you are sensitive about having red hair. As it has been said before, **** is short for Pakistan....simple as !
Why do we always have to bow down and apologise ?
If people insult us we are told to 'get over it' but god forbid us if we dare to insult someone, even in jest.
Even AB has blanked out the word !! For heaven's sake !
sp1814........I find YOU extremely offensive for your remarks regarding POW Diana's son. More offending is your insult at the deceased knowing them unable to defend themselves.

Is that how pak1s conduct themselves?
Exactly Jill -
Paki - from ********
Brit - from Great Britain

(What's the betting that AB has not asterisked out Brit?)
Bizarre - now they've asterisked out the country but not the so-called insult.

Jillius

Pak1 may be an abbreviation of 'Pakistani' but it has never, ever, ever, ever, ever been used in a friendly way.

'N!gger' is a conjugation of 'negro'. Would you find that inoffensive.

The rule I generally take is to assess what someone finds inoffensive, and what they don't mind. But I simply wouldn't use the word 'Pak1' because I find it offensive, and remember the kinds of people who used to use that word in the 70s.

I would rather not be associated with people like that.
terambulan

I read POW as 'Prisoner of War'.

But why would you be offended by remarks about someone you don't know and have never met?

Why would you find that personally offensive?

Harry's parentage has been questioned - that's not something I'm making up.

And he did dress up as a Nazi at a fancy dress party.

A Nazi.

Just think about that for a moment.

He's a dumbass.
Jillius

Utter codswallop. I assume from your screen name that you're a woman. If during your working day, you were referred to as 'that tart on the third floor', do you think you would be expected to 'lie down and take it?'

No you would not. You would be able to pull any bloke up who treated you verbally like that, and he would be hauled over the coals.

If you had a large chest and male colleagues referred to you as 'Jugs'. Same thing.

sp1814...If you've lived here for any length of time you know I mean Princess of Wales. I refer to your snide remarks as to Harry's parentage.

I wouldn't want to know you! But would be happy to kick your ass if I came across you.
Having just watched a clip of the video again on the news -

This was a private video made of a group of friends messing about. The remark by Harry about his Pakistani friend who was present, and smiling at the time, was said in an affectionate way.

If someone hadn't got hold of this video and sold it to the press then none of this would have ever been known - and rightly so. What goes on in private between friends and what they call each other is nobodies business except their own.

This whole fiasco is utterly stupid. The friend's father has nowsaid he has found it insulting to his son. His son was not in the least offended. This all happened three years ago.

The prince has apologised if he caused offence.

The prince is in no way racist.

Done and dusted!!

Jillius

Just read my last post and I withdraw the 'utter codswallop' remark. That was quite rude.
sp1814
I have got large jugs and it bothers me not one jot if people comment on them !
You need to lighten up !
Yes, utter codswallop may have offended all cod that may read this lol !
terambulan

Wow...can't really respond to that!

You're truly put me in my place. I thank you for that.
Jillius

I congratulate you on your jugs, but I was only giving that as an example...there are many who would find that an insulting term of reference.
The churlish father of the pak1 has refused the apology. Someone give him some shoes to throw. Class & manners are not in the pak1 language.
