It seems to have happened some time ago. The man concerned had the good grace to rise above it and forget it.
Do people not think that they call us names or is it a case that they are allowed to do it and we are not.
But more to the point the Islamics have hopped on the band wagon even though the word Islam was never mentioned. So why do they feel insulted?

The remark made by Harry may well have been said "without malilce" but what about other people who say similar things and are not so lucky to get away with it? The person (can't remember her name) a few years ago on Big Brother was absolutely taken to pieces because she referred to Charlie (in a very friendly way) as n!gger and a huge fuss was made of it. But then, she was not royal and had everyone fawning over her. Why do some people think if someone is royal they can do no wrong? I personally think he did say it without malice, but someone in his position has to be careful, and it appears he thinks he can do and say what he likes.
It is not whether he said it in jest or a malicious way.
It is not whether whether it is offensive or not.
It is not whether the other person took offence or not (actually his father did).
It is not whether there are more pressing things going on in the world.
It is not whether it is three years old or three days old.
It is more the fact that if it were an ordinary man in the street he would have been severely dealt with but because he is royal everyone is rising to his defence. It seems that no one should criticise him just because he is a prince - after all he is only a young man "having a bit of fun". Just why should he be judged any differently?

Talk about the usual mountain out of a molehill. The guy's been over in Afghanistan fighting amongst the plebs - just leave him alone for gawd's sake. The '****' involved hasn't made a complaint - & I'm sure there are a lot more abusive words used amongst the lads than that. He did not say or mean it maliciously.
Perlease... can everyone just get real.
