KM Links Game - August week 5 Results

Good morning everyone ... here we are at the end of another month !!! This is definitely one way of making time fly, one week finishes and before you know it, Saturday's here again ...time to get the brain in gear again.

Just as soon as an early riser is able to post this week's matches, yours truly will get to work and be back with this month's winner............who will it be ?? cheers for now S

It is also, according to google, a website finding you boarding houses/hotels in London and also a make of folding bicycle!

Ummm, can I quit now please ??? at a rough glance there are four people with equal top score for the month - the final results will take a while.

However, starting with the minor round - three of the matches went off early but Smooth Hound beat everyone [ I could always give points for Hound Dog - p'haps that's being waaay too liberal ]

DizzyLizzie [time for a name change, I think !!] was first out of the blocks with bonus points for Melt Down, as was roslyn251254 who also picked up Onion Dome as well. Still within the two-minute limit were centrino also with Melt Down and sarumite with Onion Dome plus one extra.
london_lassy came in at #11 with Thunder Storm, plus one extra, and that was the end of the bonus points for this week.

ShazzaHewit & keyboardix [enjoy Colorado and Las Vegas - and don't forget our postcards] did very well in the "good guesses" department each scoring three points, while slaney, jan1956, Eiggam, wickedtongue, x-ray, merlinius & jobjockey all added two points to their tallies and a further 24 picked up an extra point so well done all round.

Ok, that's the easy bit - I have lysander, patchett, x-ray and DizzyLizzie all on ten points each so a count back will be necessary....I'll be as quick as I can and be back with the Leader Board [now where did I put my passport }

Back again with more information - may I just congratulate the four ABers who tied for first place this month and it's a shame we have to make a decision however it goes like this -

DizzyLizzie with 5 direct hits, equalling 10 points

lysander with 4 direct hits = 8 points plus 2 = 10

patchett & x-ray both accumulated 10 points each starting with a bonus week of all four guesses correct plus 2 then added four more points for their total of 10 - this deserves a special mention as all four correct happens very infrequently ... so well done.

roslyn251254, wickedtongue & jobjockey all finished with 9 points, while cliffyg, LaneyB and our newcomer merlinius collected 8 points.

Congratulations to all the above - it turned into a very busy month. Now we have next month to look forward to, thinking caps well and truly on..........till then S
