The Club is now Open.

There have been some recent reports of damp patches on the upstairs grand landing. The cleaning staff have been working overtime to overcome this problem, sadly without complete success.
Members are , therefore, requested to be extra careful with the waterworks.

Members are also respectfully reminded that Rule 7 still always applies.
The Committee has been made aware of some breeches .

Non-raffle prizes will be gratefully received .

Oh milady sorry to be tardy, but I am currently trying to rid the pantry of a plague of wasps, I can hear them but can't see them.
I will put the breeches in lost property and do hope your sojourn to foreign parts was a success and you saw off the cellist (bet she was just on the fiddle) does his young ludship send his regards?
Question Author
So sorry to hear of your plight, Mamyalynne.

I'm sure there is a Flit gun somewhere that would help.

Or the tried and tested jam jar full of water with some jam in.
Question Author
Our trip to the New World was a great success and the son and heir does indeed send warm wishes to you.

The fiddler is still on the scene, but sadly our paths crossed over the Atlantic somewhere, so we have not yet met her. Fate at work, I feel.
Will try that but it seems constant and a cheer now and then, do wasps cheer?

I have brought for the non raffle

half a tin of duraglit
4 bodkins
and a tin of assoryed shirt buttons.

Will go rustle up some tailcocks and nibbles.
Question Author
Thank you for taking care of the breeches, by the way. The Committee could not come to a decision about them.

I'm no expert on wasps, but I don't think they cheer. Does the pantry have a wireless ?

I have some prizes also for the non-raffle

half a bottle of sun cream
a box of Dunkin Donuts (some have the sugar removed)
two buffalo wings
a pair and a half of hardly used flight socks
and four aspirin tablets
bon soir ladies.
may i respectfully ask what rule 7 is?
and are the breeches leather, short and with braces? are they very short??? very, very short?????? worn by young men with smooth muscular legs? tanned, muscular legs??
oh dear, the palpitations have resumed :( need a medicinal brandy and a cold shower.
i have a couple of bingo wings which could go in the raffle.
Question Author
Good evening, ethandron.

The breeches are neither leather nor short.

A complete explanation of Rule 7 can be found in the Club Rule book which is kept in the filing cabinet in the office at the top of the lower greater outside stairs behind the door marked 'push'.
Question Author
If you can get your bingo wings to us, they can go in the raffle.
Oh eth do have a brandy and a sit down dear, they will probably be pink wincey breeches knowing our luck.

PS we rarely mention Rule 7 its a bit hush hush
Did you read the minures from Last week Milady we had a jolly time my pal and yours ttfn was a real stayer and fun was had.
Good evening and welcome back Ladyalex! You were missed. x

Hope you had a splendid vacation. Whilst you were out Matron Mamyalynne took great pride in manning the club, just the orderly way in which you always expects it to be. And even though most were drunk and half asleep throughout the entire evening, she had them all on their toes. She even use you private jet and limousine to transport the inebriated ones to their villa when the evening was over. We should have a special celebration in her honour for doing such a grand job.
Evening Society what lovely comments and me without a pilots licence too!! HIC

Ooh te wasps have stopped thank heavens for that, lets have d rink
have been having a bit of a root around for some more raffle prizes and have found a marvelous rubber non-slip bath mat in elastoplast pink, it's still in its box and only slightly perished. also a pair of toe-nail clippers and a foot file which i've rinsed under the tap in the scullery.
am very curious about rule (*) (decided not to mention rule 7 but use code instead), could anyone give me a little hint what it's about? i would hate to think i'd broken a rule without realising it. there again, it might be quite exciting to think i'd done something a bit daring and outrageous, would quite like to be considered somewhat madcap.
Good evening your ladyship and mamya and is that ethandron, has she had a funny turn? I hope your ladyship has enjoyed her trip abroad, I must say mamyalynn did a wonderful job while you were away keeping us entertained. This week I have brought two tins of Guinness, a thimble, and a box of fire lighters for the non raffle.
I haven't seen my friend ttfn tonight so far, but it has been quiet around here this week. Everyone seems to be waving flags and watching tv. such a noise like bees buzzing.
Good evening everyone, and welcome back milady. Please be assured that I always take great care of my waterworks these days, I can share a tena lady or two should the need arise on the landing. I too have forayed but I have been back a few days so am calming down. Gran, ttfn has been lurking earlier but may have gone for a lie-down, she said she wasn't sure if she could make it tonight (not sure if you know milady but she has been poorly and we have missed her frivols). I have an empty box with me which might come in useful at some point.
Question Author
I did have a glance at last week's minutes and all seems to have gone swimmingly.

Lordalex and I did indeed have a lovely time in Massy mesa New England.
The son-and-heir was very pleased to see us, and lordalex behaved himself ....well there was that one incident with the waitress, but we've decided to draw a veil over that. (That waitress could have done with a veil too!)
Thank you to Mamya for holding the fort so expertly.
Question Author
Sorry to hear that ttfn has been poorly. Please tell her I'm asking for her.

We seem to have a plethora of non-raffle prizes tonight.
It was a pleasure as always and hope ttfn hasn`t over done things too soon, We had a great chin wag last week. Eth I feel that rule (*) is best left alone it did make the local press, the incident that brought it into being and we dare not bring it up again.

An empty box is a great idea, maybe I can snare these damn wasps.
