Once more I throw open the doors and welcome you to pop in for a chat and maybe share a tailcock or too. Her Ladyship and His Lordship are still otherwise engaged and the notion of my position is being pushed to it's utmost.
The long Gallery is currently out of bounds due to the rampant dry rot, a donations box is in the vestibule for contributions to the restoration fund. Therefore drinks and nibbles (of which there is a plethora, thanks to guidance from Mercia) are served in the Billiard room, please do not uncover the baize or I will end up paying.
Last week was very quiet so the raffle prizes are rolled over, I can however add;
A pincushion
half bottle of syrup of figs
and a bath plug. (other donations welcome)
So enjoy.

Hello mamya - all ship shape are we? Shall I form a disorderly queue? I have a set of spark plugs for tonight's raffle - 3 for an Austin A40 and 1 for a Morris 1000, plus half a feather duster - the pup has the other feathers but it will do for small cobwebs I am sure.
Question Author
Well good evening ttfn, great to see you again and what super prizes almost collectors items really. Yes we do get a lot of cobwebs, not down to my lack of thoroughness I assure you.
Do take a pew and I will dish up some liquid refreshment.
i have a basket of brambles for the raffle and some felt tipped pens,since its a lovely night i thought i would join you for a little while(since you helped me with crosswords)
You are most hospitable mamya - I always seem to bring succh a raging thirst with me! I would ask for a stiff drink but that would be like an ice lolly and as you know I like my drinks unsullied by ice - nasty stuff so it is.
Question Author
No ice it is, I do have that effect on people.

Katy how lovely for you to pop by, we are ever helpful when we can be, shall I get the bucket now?
Hello all, nice to see you all in fine fettle I thought her Ladyship had stopped scavenging this week. I have brought a tin opener, some sherbert lemons and a mincing machine (hand operated)
