Once more I step into the breech, as her Ladyship is entertaining the Dowager aunt. I feel after the strenuous and brain testing evening of the AB quiz (who won again, do remind me!) We will not have a guest speaker as such, rather any member with an interesting hobby or topic, may give us a small speech.
Later there will be some dancing on the terrace, however due to the age and delicate nature of some members there will be little in the way of Disco or Rock (unless requested) but music of a more sedate and maybe a little smoochy in tempo.
For the raffle, I donate
3 Corn plasters (washed)
Jar of Vicks vapour rub
5 Strepsils (Blackcurrant)
So settle in and make yourselves comfy, Tailcocks and nibbles are in the long hall on the buffet sideboard.

Hello miss meg - lovely to see you, pull up a tuffette and have some of mamyas gorgeous nibbles and some bubbles - we are celebrating tonight. I think it is opportune to play a belated song for mamya, she had a birthday this week you know. <<Though not born on february 29th she only admits to having one every 4th year>>
Sorry ladies I will only be popping in and out this evening. There's a do on at the village hall I promised myself I'd see. A lovely red haired young man with a nice voice will be there, However I did send a messenger along with a jug of my swede and parsnip cider & some shrimp and marmite vol-au-vants & lemon sugar suckers. I hope you enjoy. I believe Edna Worthinton is giving us a song too. I told Mrs Worthington NOT to put her on the stage.(ps Do you need more french chalk for the dance floor?)
