As her Ladyship the Leisurely continues to gallivant across this fair land, it is my honour once more to welcome you all.
We were to have a talk of 'How to gather edible fungi safely' but sadly Mr Alonzo Porcinihas been hit with a bad dose of food poisoning, maybe when he has recovered we could ask him again.
Tailcocks and nibbles adorn the buffet sideboard as usual and raffle tickets this week are number pink and can be purchased as you enter.
My offerings this week :
A tin of Dubbin.
Bar of lily of the valley soap.
6 Moth balls,
and a Toblerone.
Thank you, fluff, a touch of class at last to match mine - mwah
Hi Noraq - I think Mamya is please to see your av anyway.
Petal - who can possibly say how her ladyship has been occupied or otherwise lately? She is an invisible nonentity these days
note to matron - you can delete that bit later from the minutes, can't you?
Warms the cockles noraq ☺
Now decision, decision - which small libation shall I taste tonight? Can you suggest anything for me Mamya please?
<Lordy - I am going to regret that soon, very soon>
Greetings all. I've been turning out the cupboards - that's my contribution to spring cleaning - and I found this full set of coasters. The pattern has worn off a bit but you can still see it and with a glass or cup on it won't even notice. Also some dusters that have been in the drawer for so long (unused) that they have become a bit faded. Used to be a nice bright yellow. Should be fine for the raffle. Now, I think I know Alonzio Porcinihas and he is not to be trusted with fungi of any sort. He was distributing magic mushrooms the last time I saw him and I think by the way he was acting he had eaten a few himself. Unless you want to actually try the magic mushrooms I should give him a wide berth.
Well for a start fluff, we can all refuse to complete the ruddy census - or would that not be congenial/genealogous of us? Nay matter I shall set my great, great, great, great ancestors upon her. Actually we are all great in my family - well, we think so ;o)
Lucky you Noraq. Not many people get invited down there. Watch the third step down, it's bit creaky. Rumour has it the last lady greased the stairs there to get rid of her husband - the late lord. If all the Bailey's has gone, could you have a look and see if there is any port. I like port and lemon.
I think the Manse has made callers in its time Noraq, but not too sure if any was as famous as am I.
Big Sis used to take her grooming brush when she walked her GSD in the forest ,fluff, and the resultant handfuls of horse mattress stuffing would be cast to the 4 winds for all the birds. Saved a bit on the car valet.
Bye petal - dont creasehis felt fedora will you?
Evening Star - lovely to see you again. Any port in a storm - a good alternative name for the MOFC
Right well we return laden with man dusty bottles am sure they need using up they look old.
Evening Star, well am not surprised to hear that he was recommended to me by that dodgy guy from The Pig and Whistle in the village and you know what he,s like.
