Lavender Oil

Can anyone recommend a good lavender oil please? I've bought them in the past and they just didn't smell right somehow. It's mainly for refreshing wheat packs, pillows etc.

Baldwin' s of the Walworth Rd in London ( not far from the Elephant and Castle) are true herbalists and do a postal service. They will make it clear whether they are selling the true flower oil or artificial versions.
By the way, they sell wonderful Pot Pourri oils and lots of other perfume oils.

Hija cooked dinner, she had no idea what she was going to make and made a runny sort of turkey stew which she out in the oven in a saucepan, ergo when she got it out of the oven, the bakelite handle fell off and some of the stew was on the floor, so we picked up the good bits and put into another dish and the rest of it and put back in the oven to continue cooking, whereupon I proceeded to clean the floor of red beans, onions, sauce what a mess, also had to clean all the cupboard fronts! When she finally served it I had hysterics, it was like gruel, all grey and lumpy and colourless, but it tasted OK, she had added instant potato to it to thicken it, luckily Mr N likes this type of food, although I do not, it sticks to yer bones, I'll cook tomorrow and Friday we are eating out.
Yesterday she made an absolutely delicious lasagne with spinach, tuna, mushrooms and cheese sauce (Mr N's receipe) so all is not lost!
Am bathed and in bed waiting to watch something or other.

Morning all
I'm sitting in the kitchen .It's cold and all sorts of weather .Last night we had hail and sleet ,just now it was snowing ,and now the sun has come out .
I can do the scarf Robinia ...yay...but need much ,much longer scarves .Perhaps they look longer on Mary though as she's quite petite .
I did look at M&S Woofy but nothing caught my eye.
I'm dithering about going out .
I need to go to the library and get a few bits round the shops but think I'll just have a coffee first and fortify myself with 600mg.just in case I do go .
Hope you are all OK today .Keep warm .

Good morning. Couldn't wake up this morning so didn't get up until 10.00am.
I really hate the sound of that stew Neti. I don't enjoy torkey at all, particularly not grey stewed turkey that has been swept of the floor!! ;o)
Sunny and very cold and Mr LL is now in the routine of a nice meal out followed by a Morrisons shop on a weakly basis. So today is today.
Had a nice catch up chat with a friend over coffee and scones yesterday.
Still can't believe the Trolls have gone, it will take time to stop being cautious about goings on next door. No more traps being set for Mr LL!!!
The last one (believe it or not) was a pile of what could only be human poo behind our back fence, near where it joins his Made a change from the tipped up tub of coleslaw and strategically placed dead rabbits and sticks stuck into the group.
Must go and attend to things (I am not sure what things) before we depart.
Quick look first though at M&S scarves. I am scarf obsessed summer and winter alike. (Two of the Redoute cardigans were fine, the third was a disaster and is going back). The two I am keeping are very, very lightweight and almost see through, which is what I wanted for the summer.

M&S scarves are really expensive, Woofy!! even the sale ones.
However, I have now ordered this, but it probably will be too high waisted and have to go back. Thought it would be good if we had another wet summer and especially on holiday in Germany. Any waterproofs I have are too warm for summer.

I think M&S scarves are pricey too...I do like the patchwork ones tho'. I'm sure the animal print scarf (which turned out to be big enough to be a sarong, lol) that I found in the charity shop for £1, is exactly the same as some I saw in M&S store for £25!
Well I've dillied and dallied so long I don't feel like going out now...and the sun's gone in.

I wish these people would stop flinging their ads at me, sigh...unless they know something I don't. I love their stuff, especially this

Like you Robi, I buy scarves in charity shops or, in my case, on Ebay. Have got some really good ones. A lot of charity shops sell new scarves too and very low prices. Norwich market is also good, but I don't get to go there much these days.
^ Note to Shaney and Jude - perhaps this summer re Norwich, as long as I can walk to BHS and Bella Italia!!!!!
