Would any practicing Roman Catholics on here, help me to understand how they are able to accommodate their religion in the face of diametrically opposed scripture?

hypo,
/If there are any other professional scientific researchers using AB at all, perhaps he should ask himself why they stay in permanent lurk mode? /
Well there are (retired) but possibly they don't venture opinions on subjects of which they have no expertise. Although some might not believe it science is based on honesty so bull shi tting is out of bounds.

Your question itself belies an attitude of antagonism, shouldn't a true Christian avoid such pettiness?
Theland, I think you are only seeing the differences in dogma. On the whole it would be difficult to get a page of the gideon bible between the lot of you (christians)
Question Author
Me antagonistic?
Not at all.
Just concerned for the RCs who are misled by popes.

I'm sure they are equally concerned for you as they know you are going to burn in hell for eternity..('burning in hell' is mediaeval parlance for a 'slapped wrist')
Question Author
Well they claim to follow the same rule book as me, but instead follow the popes.
Theland, the only 'rules' that christianity attributse to god are the 10 commandments. but no christians can honestly claim to have obeyed them implicitly so get off your high horse and do as your god commands bearing in mind commandments 3 and 9.
Question Author
Jomifil, I have broken many commandments, most in fact.
To this day I regularly break them, in spite of trying not to.
I am not on a high horse, because I am a sinner, and have to regularly confess my sin to our Lord, and beg His forgiveness.
You are probably a much better human being than me, I would not argue the point.
The first eight chapters of the book of Romans explains my plight and the God given solution to my sinful nature.
