NASA has announced it is thirty years since the Hubble telescope was launched.
It has revealed the true wonders of the universe.
Brings to mind Psalm 19.

ok you've convinced me - science is an abomination unto the lord!
alleluia!
You’ll be off on a crusade soon, Tora.
I'd be happy to have a friendly, impersonal conversation, but you'll find that easier if you stopped attacking science and scientists so comprehensively and dismissively.
I'd noticed this thread but not followed it. I wrongly assumed that it was questioning why the Hubble hadn't spotted God sitting up there by now.
God is in everything tho, Prudie.

(Or some other equally meaningless religious dogma)
Prudie, //I wrongly assumed that it was questioning why the Hubble hadn't spotted God sitting up there by now. //

I hinted at that at the beginning. Come the day scientists see a great big eye peering back at them, they'll have cracked it.
All,assuming God has eyes.
//And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good. // Gen 1:31

Why do some seemingly intelligent folk believe in this mythical figure they call "god" ???

Beggars belief.
Isn't God supposed to have made man as the image of himself?
//Isn't God supposed to have made man as the image of himself? //

Allegedly Prudie - which begs the question 'Does God resemble something like an amoeba?'

Pixie - You must have a grasp of the enormity of the Creator?
What kind of evidence would you accept?
If you or anybody is serious about searching for God, you will find the evidence, but not as a part of a non committal hobby.
No, I'm not searching for something that doesn't exist. I was asking why you have different standards for your own beliefs, than for others'?
I would accept any proof, if that helps?
//If you or anybody is serious about searching for God, you will find the evidence//

There is no evidence. I've looked.

One thing you all have in common, and that is avoiding the issue of the creation of the universe.
Add two more. Life from inert chemicals, and the flimsy theory of evolution.
I'm not avoiding anything. I'm not claiming anything. I'm asking about your claims...
One minute you are suggesting everything has a first cause.
Except God... where is your proof for this?
Add another. A god from nothing - not even inert chemicals.
