NASA has announced it is thirty years since the Hubble telescope was launched.
It has revealed the true wonders of the universe.
Brings to mind Psalm 19.
"It has revealed the true wonders of the universe."
It's a shame religion wasn't quite so enamoured when Galileo said the same thing about his telescope. Took 350 years for the church to admit they were wrong on that one.
Probably because once you admit to being wrong about one aspect of your structure of blind faith then it casts doubt on all it's, claimed to be, divine revelations. It should be less dramatic now that the public are less naive about faith & belief.
Sorry, haven't read all the answers but I have read some of them. Did anyone watch the programme on Friday about Hubble? That was more interesting than anything to do with God.
Theland, why do you expect others to be privy to information, then, when you don't know either?
Clarion, it's in religion for some reason. May be worth posting elsewhere if you want a sensible conversation x
