Actually it was pretty funny. I'm not sure how well it would translate though but I gurantee if you watch it you'll be calling people smegheads fairly quickly. (Bit like when I watch eminem videos and then go around calling everyone a MF for the next week but then I'm really easily influenced, can't you tell?!)

Blondie just wondered in to see if I wanted to go grocery shopping with her (read, 'help her carry it home') and just as she was sweetening the deal by offering to buy me a coffee she suddenly bent over and started swearing... I did say I wasn't going to order an expensive coffee but apparently making her laugh wasn't helping... she thinks she's pulled a hamstring or something (well standing still can do that to you) and has just limped off muttering under her breath at me, (well she did ask if her face had gone purple and I'm not one to lie so I pointed out that it was still orange). That was without a doubt one of the funniest things I've seen in the last fortnight!

Well, it's a pretty boring story really, but since you asked. Even though she's usually rather irritating, very pushy, awfully posh, loves to name-drop, etc, and is extremely self-assured, she's a lesser irritant at dinner parties, probably because I'm not in her company for long. However, I have discovered to my cost that three days is not the same as three or four hours. My eyes have had this mysterious glaze over them since Friday! They've been asking us for ages to go away for a weekend, and now we've finally done it, I'm fervently hoping they won't ask again. (I've got a horrible feeling they will though - and just how many excuses can a person come up with without resorting to revealing the awful truth? And that would be unthinkable! I ran out of excuses the first time around - hence the weekend from hell!). It's an awkward situation. We all live in a beautiful little village, we are all prominent in the community and are all involved in voluntary work for the village, so I wouldn't want to fall out with them - that would make life very difficult. I'm happy to continue with the dinner parties and other social events - they can be very lively company on those occasions - I just don't want to be stuck with them for another three days - or worse! And worse still, my husband finds it all highly amusing!! The rat!! And even worse still - I've put on three pounds, so there's no way I'm going away with them again! They're a bad influence!

Oh thank god for that! I was scared that I'd either have to attempt to answer all those questions or ask you to send over whatever it was you'd been smoking/drinking as I was having problems keeping up! 1am is not a great time to start making sense of all that! Although some of it had a ring of truth to it which was mildly disturbing.

I'd already been my usual, cheery, tolerent self about the whole thing (and had a bruised ankle for being kicked that many times for my troubles) so when out of no where he decides he wants to 'get to know me better' I'm afraid I misplaced my polite head. (I'm generally very polite to people that express interest as it doesn't happen often enough for me to get cocky about it!)
With the most recent ex it was me who did the asking actually. He still gives me a lot of respect for doing that. Obviously I was completely and utterly wasted.

Although that said, my ex did like the fact that when after admitting he studied physics at uiniversity, (I'd assumed it was something to do with computers) that my reaction had some what suprised him. Although he figured I had grown out of the crawling out of toilet window thing that had happened on this admission in the past apparently he was stil waiting for a barrage of abuse regarding his geekiness so he was a little taken back when I looked at him for a minute (I was trying to figure out if he was having me on) and then said 'I'm going to the loo, when I come back I want an explanation of what a fractal is.'
