Avast Blocking My External Hard Drive

My Avast demanded to be updated yesterday, so I did. Now when I plug my external hard drive in (a little Maxell portable) nothing comes up and I can't back things up. I assume these two events are connected as there was no trouble till today.

Is there any way to tell Avast to permit it? Or of restoring the earlier Avast? (Though I assume the latter would be risky.)

(Please don't advise installing MSE instead as I had the same trouble with it in the past; that's why I installed Avast in the first place.)

My staff decided to work on Monday so I had to appear to be busy too. They didn't get double pay, just the usual 50p p hr + tea and snacks. Paid for it yesterday with aches 'n pains of course...and I'm fed up of constant headaches too woofy. :(

Yes neti, what a shock in Casualty. I always find their tragedies sadder than Corrie etc, maybe because we don't get sick of seeing them. Holby was great last night, Hanssen was hilarious. Pleased your schnoz has been written off. :)

Morning all. Yes Robi Hansenn can be so amusing. They can't kill off anymore as there won't be anyone left. I thought all along it was Ethan so almost a relief. When he cried, his little face!!
Was waiting for hija to come with car so I cab take cat to the vet but its been changed to Friday now, so am having a coffee. Beautiful day.

Cold and black here too. Greenhouse has finally arrived. I messaged the seller to point out that the late delivery has made it impossible for me to assemble it as planned over bank hol weekend and asking them to confirm that a delay in reporting any missing or broken parts would be acceptable. They have responded that its not okay and that I should have unpacked and checked it while the carrier man was here and refused delivery if there were any breakages or bits missing! No idea what planet they live on....have now put it it Amazon’s hands.

I've been steaming away with both my steamers, the cloth is filthy but haven't noticed any difference in the floors!! Actually it is lovely weather here.

you have to love Amazon. Just had email back to say don’t worry, put the greenhouse up when you can, any breakages or missing bits, contact Amazon and they will sort.
neti I find the same with my steamer, I have got a load of cloths and keep changing them as I steam

It's baltic out there . Freezing cold wind .The ladies in the church hall who give out the ballot papers were sitting there with their coats on when we went to vote earlier.Then we trundled to Morrisons and had a big breakfast brunch 'cos I cba to cook tonight.I'm bone weary .

hello all. green house is staying in its box until sis is back I think. There is no rush as its much to cold for torts to be outside even with a sunroom. Its been an odd day here. no bad weather forecast anywhere I check but its been black all day, Shughy has been shaking and worried and my head is pounding. I have now got a second birdy cam up and recording though.

Is that a blackbird Woofy ? That's a smart feeder.I haven't got a bird table anymore.The wood had rotted so we got rid of it .Once the garden is a bit more shipshape I'll get another one.

Morning...I turn my back and jno's in sunny Italy. It's sunny here but still a cold wind. It was bitter yesterday and combined with all the Norfolk dust (lol) and pollen it's no wonder we've got headaches. I had a hangover yesterday from the day before's mega brain ache. I'm fed up of it now.

That's good woofy, I need a new feeder that has a tray underneath. The feral pigeons shake these gazebo types and gobble up all the food that falls. I did have to buy a maximum security one for the sunflower hearts because of the squirrel robbers.

Hello, sun just trying to come out now.
Vet tonight but I'm hoping she can be mended as she seems so normal in the day but has night terrors. Mothers day here on Sunday I won't hold my breath!
My mascara has arrived so will be glam again tomorrow especially as I have coloured my roots. Have an urge to spend but have sent cash card back to UK, but still have enough for some new shoes!!
