Avast Blocking My External Hard Drive

My Avast demanded to be updated yesterday, so I did. Now when I plug my external hard drive in (a little Maxell portable) nothing comes up and I can't back things up. I assume these two events are connected as there was no trouble till today.

Is there any way to tell Avast to permit it? Or of restoring the earlier Avast? (Though I assume the latter would be risky.)

(Please don't advise installing MSE instead as I had the same trouble with it in the past; that's why I installed Avast in the first place.)

Hello all
The sun has just come out ..hooray.Perhaps my washing will dry off a bit now .Still very chilly here though.That east wind doesn't go round you ,it goes straight through .Real feel of 9C...s'not fair!
Yes Robinia ,Norfolk dust is quite true actually .The farmers are moaning about the lack of rain.Everywhere is very dry and dusty and what is out and trying to bloom or grow is getting even drier with the salty wind.

hello all...fingers (and paws) crossed for Mousey.
The bird is a cheeky starling. I have got the feeders set up so there is one that only the tiny birds should be able to get into, then one for blackbirds and that size of bird, then an open tray for the wood pigeons who will eat everything given the chance. The starlings have learned to get in the small birds feeder but there is the occasional idiot who gets in and then panics when he forgets how to get out. Fascinating too how many are feeding nestlings and fly off with beaks crammed.

Well we got all sad and took her in the car and the vet was shut. I was pleased so she is here for another few days and am hoping she can be cured!

There might be something they can do Neti. I'm not an expert on cats but Shaney had a touch of what was probably doggy dementia as he got older although that wasn't why he had to be put to sleep. I hope she'll be alright.

Shaney, I am not heaving, all the big stuff I am moving is on wheels or castors. I am moving the guest bedroom which rarely gets used into the smaller room and taking the bigger room for my craft room. Its complicated by the fact that the torts are in the bigger room as its too chilly for them to be outside...wed to fri this week is forecast to be warm enough for them to be outside for a few days so I am going for it. If it gets cold again, ones the furniture is all moved, they can come back in again.

Good day. Today is Spanish Mothers Day and we had a fleeting visit from hija and pressies of sweets and a big bottle of jasmine Michael Kors so I am set up now. We all went for a coffee and then she had to go to work so Mr N and I went to Es Cana for a drink and then tapas on the beach. Lovely time. I've just sunbathed for an hour and am a lovely shade of pink.

Happy Mother’s Day Neti. Today has been an oddjob day. I sorted out my shed a bit and planted seeds in there. Peas, beans, baby corn and squash. they will be ready to plant out at the beginning of June.

Good sunny day folks. Yes almost in summer clothes now. Cat still hanging on and to my mind she seems a tad better. But I do feed her in the bathroom ( her hideaway) couple of times in the night and she's expects it now. Not so daft! But still makes unearthly howls in the night.

A'noon all...techiRobi here. Tarquin has bought me a laptop :)He's too good to me. I'm a bit slow on it at the moment but I'm sure I'll soon be filling baskets on all the old familiar sites...and some new ones.
Had a busy weekend but the weather was so cold on Saturday we didn't do anything scenic and outdoorsy. There'll be other warm days - I hope. Sorry it's not good where you are jno but at least you're not missing any sunbathing time here. I'm a lovely shade of blue.

Be careful woofy. I wish everything was on castors, including myself.
