I just went to right click my mouse and it feels like it doesn't "click" anymore. Almost like something is stuck in it and it won't depress. It doesn't have any back up side buttons. Is it dead?

I had a similar problem once. I used a can of pressurized air to spray into where the wheelie thing sits and problem solved in ten seconds.

Hmm, good idea - I've tried it but it hasn't done anything. It does feel like it's just stuck!
You have to attach that straw-like thing to the can, wiggle it in and around the wheel while moving the wheel and pressing the left and right buttons. I said around 10 seconds, but I probably blasted it with air for closer to a minute. Anyway, I don't suppose it always works.

Ah, I don't have the straw thing... Maybe I need to buy some more!
Yes, you definitely need that attachment to direct the air into the area I mentioned.
Is it a Wi Fi mouse? If so have you changed the batteries recently and not quite clicked the cover back on correctly?. I had a similar problem after changing the two AAs and hadn't relocated the cover properly at first.
Question Author
No it's a standard mouse with a wire. Microsoft, very basic,
They're cheap. Buy a new one.

yeah I will, just annoying cos I was trying to edit and needed my right click! And yes, I had an old one spare but literally 3 days ago gave it to my friend!
Always worth opening it up and looking for an obvious cause. Otherwise you're only going to get a replacement anyway.
