Electricity In Dubai?

Can anyone confirm that the electricity in Dubai is 220v, and that the plugs are the same as UK ie 3 pin? Thank you.

I've got hair frizz and I haven't even left the house yet .It's still bldy raining and I'm not traipsing in the wet to the polling station.I wish it would stop.

Gosh its hot. Have actually been in the pool and tried to sunbathe but too hot.

Lol.. Neti.Mr S has said he'll go into the shops and pretend he can't speak English at all.I told him he'd have to become a British citizen .He said they can stick it up their chuffers ....hahaa.
My Mum and Mil always used Elnett but I don't like the smell of it although it's one of the best hairsprays .I usually buy natural hold in Silvikrin but just lately it's more like armour plating and I only spray a bit on .
Anyway have cast my vote ,what will be ,will be .

Well in or out Mr N seems to have celebrated well if not wisely! But he bought me 2 frozen loaves of thick slice English bread and 2.5 kilo lump of English mature cheddar, no idea where to store it. Most wives get flowers!!!
At least tv is ok tonight no footy!!

I clicked on a lovely T Shirt in Debenhams to collect tomorrow.It's the only thing I've bought for the summer this year.I wonder if there will be a hot dry day when I can wear it .

by heck it's hot and sweaty here (well, I am) and skies still threatening too. Too much time spent in waiting rooms today but the trains themselves were very fast and comfy. We were in the top deck of a French one, but too elevated for them to get a food trolley upstairs unfortunately, so we went to a Brioche Doree in Lilel for a snack. Ciabatta de Plomb more like.

I hope everyone's aches and pains are in retreat despite the irritating weather.

Mr N is so surprised at the out vote. Never seen him so shaken.
The world and its mother keeps calling me about rights in Spain now. As if I know. All I know is we are still EU Citizens and must be treated as such. I'm sitting having a coffee and feel so guilty about nothing!!

Mr S is a bit concerned about it.One of the staff in Morrisons this morning who knows his nationality asked if he would be going back to Germany !
He was a bit miffed to say the least.
I've just realised that I've been one of those collaborators with the enemy that they keep banging on about on here for nearly 44 years :)

Been a lovely day,warm and sunny and then about an hour ago the heavens opened and it pelted it down .Seems there's no two days alike lately.

I'm half heartedly finishing a crossword in my mag ,looking on the internet and AB ,listening to a country music CD and emailing my European contingent . I know how to multitask :)
I've overdosed on Streets of SF so gave it a rest today or I'll have square eyes .Mr S has gone to bed and is listening to waffle on the radio.

Did loads of washing yesterday with hija being away at a rave in Barca so now I have a pile of ironing to do. She's back tonight hopefully.
Off to do the weekly shopping in a min. Just have a cuppa (isn't it just the best drink in the world?) In bed before I get up, although have already swept and mopped the large patio and put one load of washing on!
