Electricity In Dubai?

Can anyone confirm that the electricity in Dubai is 220v, and that the plugs are the same as UK ie 3 pin? Thank you.

good morning. Still dealing with the aftermath of the bad weather here, dogs still jumping at every noise. Something in the garden (not a dog) has chewed through the cable of my very expensive outdoor webcam. As the cable is welded into the cam at one end and the plug at the other, this could be very annoying. I am hopeful that I can fix it and will then wrap the cable end for end in tape but its not the best start to the day :(

Nice morning but turned cloudy now,more showers on the way I expect.

A'noon all... we've had a monsoon here today followed by a brief interlude of sun and now we're back to cloudy/showery again. I think I've burned a hole in the ozone layer with Elnett just trying to keep my hair under control. It's soul destroying, it's really got to my head and insides. All I've wanted to do this week is sleep. Makes a change from not sleeping at all I suppose.
I did some drawer sorting yesterday and I'm not buying anything else summery either even though they're almost giving clothes away.
Oh well, according to the interweb we're all doomed anyway. I've got plenty of Lurpak stashed away until that happens.

Hello Robi poor you. My hair is so thick no hair spray will anchor it, I just use it to create a pointy effect, until this spiky style I hadn't used hairspray in years.
Just been in pool as I had a spot of tom puree on pareo so thought that a dip in the chlorine would remove it. now nice and clean backin the cool. it is way too hot and I do not like it!

Storms all afternoon. I managed two 15 minute potters in the very wet garden inbetween cloud bursts. I don't want sizzling temperatures, just dry will do, this is ridiculous....grrrrr.
As for the television, that's beyond words. I'd vote for anyone who removes football from all main channels and lumps it all together on one digital channel....preferably one I have no signal for.
And the good news....I'm going to win the lotto.

storms all day here poor dogs.....they are flaked out now but all the pacing has set Rab’s shoulder back again.
Yes shaney, squirrels mice or rats....whatever did it, I hope it got a good warning not to do it again when the leccy hit its teef. I had all kinds of plans today, baking and tidying and a cooked dinner, spent it instead restraining fool dog from hurting himself and persuading Rab to sit and rest....oh well waitrose have delivered so a fridge raid picnic is on the menu.

I agree how sillly it is to show this stoopid footy on all the time. At least they could ha e put the soaps etc on second channel is bbc2,ITV 2!

We escaped the storms by the skin of our teeth here .It did pelt down again for a while but soon cleared.Fed up with fooball too but then again I've been brainwashed with it for years and it goes in one ear and out the other. Tennis is on next week ,more my cup of tea.
I'm very willing to lend out my Streets of SF box set.Only four more episodes to watch ....book him buddy boy

Very blustery night here although I slept like a log. Mr N and Mousey were up and down all night. Hija cancelled her flight home until this afternoon at 5 pm so I'll probably have to tootle to airport to collect her. She has work at 7pm!
Thought Adele was lively last night, really human and no side to her. Lovely voice too.

Morning...same old here, dull damp and very cool (rf 12). Tropical moments in this ridiculous humidity aren't much fun. Even my crystal ball is steamed up, I only got one number on the lotto. Tut.

answered Jno :( Quiet day here. Dogs jumping at the least noise so have got fan on and junk TV so they can settle. Fridge has arrived, grand switch on at 4.30. Tomorrow I celebrate by making fridge storage pickles (carrot and cucumber, not together) and beetroot cured salmon.

Another day where the weather can't make it's mind up .Not been too bad though between showers and quite warm.
Nothing much doing here just more football .
Have you got a new appliance Woofy ? Very nice too.
I need a new body.My right hip is giving me agony lately.
Could be because of this silly shoe which is higher than my other shoes so I compensate when I walk. Maybe time to beg my GP for another Xray on it

I'd like a new head/body too...I've had a sickly, dizzy headache all bloomin day. Maybe I need to pop it in woofys new fridge to numb it. Just given in and taken a stemetil to see if it will settle me down enough to eat something. These overcast days do me no good at all and it's raining now.
Spent the afternoon lolling and watching The Tenant of Wildfell Hall on the Drama channel...not one I'd read or seen but I enjoyed it.

hello all. More bloody weather more dog panic. Shaney the new fridge is to store tortoise food in. Its a poor growing summer and I have to coddle Heidi a bit so the foreseeable future contains much purchasing of expensive veg from spring to autumn each year. Much of it comes in air sealed bags which stuff my fridge up so much that I get a healthy green avalanche when I open the door. Have struggled since march but its not going to work so I have caved and bought a second fridge.
