“There is one very serious defect to my mind in Christ's moral character, and that is that He believed in hell. I do not myself feel that any person who is really profoundly humane can believe in everlasting punishment''
Can anyone disagree?
The idea of been tortured forever is sick beyond belief.
If there's one thing (actually there are many) that turns me off from Christianity, its this idea that unbelievers will be tortured beyond belief for not believing in the God of love.
(Anyone else here see the contradiction)??
a more accepted version of the prayer said during the decade of the rosary - can anyone guess how many times? is
Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death, Amen.

Jesus did not return in his generation.
The Nile did not dry up.
etc....
The fertile arc-shaped basin is home to nearly half the country's population, and the river that feeds it provides Egypt with 90% of its water needs. I will never deny the prophecies.
The generation that sees these things begin to happen will not pass away etc etc.

Save the maudlin self-pity act, it doesn't fly along with your constant need to tell everyone how lacking they are because they don't view God as you do.
You'll be back peddling the same arguments - you are always are.
