I was seeing this girl for around three years. It was a long distance relationship so we rarely saw one another. She had then confessed she still had feelings for her ex. I left her to it and wished her well on that pursuit. She almost got back together with him instantly and is still with him today.

Now then, after two years of not speaking she has returned and says she does not think she will be able to find a connection with anyone the way she had with me. I'm in two minds. I agree about the connection but another part of me is just happy to let her live her life and get on with it as the distance is still evident. I'm not seeking friendship from her.
