Your name and address? Yes.

Can you not just e-mail your supervisor/boss?

Don't complicate it Corby.  If she hands a letter to her manager she knows they've got her resignation.

Question Author

Scorpio yes on top of the letter

Abbey, write your address at the top of the letter - then print your name several spaces below 'Yours sincerely' - and then sign in the space you left.

I'm not trying to complicate it.

An e-mail saves having to add an address, it can be forwarded to anyone who needs to know about it and it can pick up any spelling/gramatical mistakes.

It can also pick up grammatical errors...

Question Author

I still work there and go in so might aswell just give it to them.

Question Author

Where shall I put tomorrow's date?

Under your address.

When I was at school there was always a question on the English Language 'o' level paper which involved writing a formal letter to someone like the PM or your headteacher.  I doubt it's even covered in the syllabus now, it's probably how to use emoji in a text now...but there are sites that tell you how to set out a formal letter, abbey.

Question Author

I'm not use to this but do I go the manager as soon as I come in?

Have you never handed in notice before Abbey. There's no need to do it straight away but I'd do it early so it's not hanging over you

Do you never have conversations with your parents about these things?

Personally I would do my shift and then hand over the letter or if they have a pigeon hole pop it in there

Abbey, just hand it to your manager when to get to work.  That way it's done.

Question Author

New only via email and on paper while I was at work.

Question Author

DIDL No they don't have a pigeon hole and I'd rather speak to them.

Question Author

Only worry because it reminds me of b&m where I was years ago where I had bad experience.

Abbey, what is it about the new place that reminds you of B and M,and your unhappy memories there?
