lost wireless connection

this happens occasionally, connection via my netgear wireless router to my laptop is normally good but occasionally when trying to "aquire IP address" it fails all I do is plug in an ethernet cable...

Is IE8 ok now?

Does anyone know if IE8 is ok to download and install now,or is it still troublesome? Have been holding off as it was quite buggy when it was introduced.Have not heard of any recent reports. Regards

On my desktop sidebar I have 7 gadgets in a specific order. Three clocks and 4 temperatures listed in a logical order. Sometimes when I open up the order has been changed and I have to move them back...
