Breaking off stalks

is it illegal or anything to break off the stalks of fruit/ veg in a supermarket, before they're are weighed, so that they are cheaper, seeing as we rarely use them anyway. For example brocolli. . . ....

Best hoover for picking up dog hairs

Can anyone recommend a hoover that is good for picking up dog hairs. I have a border collie (my first dog) and did not realise how much hairs they shed and my carpets are totally covered in them....
