navman 635 maps

just got one of these (for buttons so still made up with it) but obviously its a bit old now and it seems navman no longer updat maps as they say it cannot handle the size etc of maps now available...

satnav - navman 635 - wont hold a charge

just bough a secong hand sat nav...which works fine when plugged in but goes off completely when unplugged i am assuming it should charge...or i is it a plugged in only model...anyone know...can see...
