Hi there. My two year old Weimaraner GSP cross boy has being diagnosed will allergy problems. The main symptom is inflamed ears which then become dirty and sticky. We are working with the vet who is excellent but the steroid tablets which helped at first have stopped being effective at a dose which is acceptable in terms of side effects for the dog. The next stage is to try a topical steroid spray which we will start on monday. We have cleaned up his diet which has helped a lot but not solved the problem. We have also tried
Canaural drops (the thick yellow ones)
Thornit powder
We currently use ear cleaning solution made from boracic and lactic acid to clean his ears (at vets suggestion) plus the steroid tabs and evening primrose oil capsules, again at vet's suggestion.
has anyone else had experience of this and can you make any suggestions please?
He has bare, not hairy ear canals and is as good as gold about the twice daily cleaning and treatment.
thanks

A'noon...pleasant day and washing's wafting rather than flapping...the pigeons can booger off.

Lottie I'd already thought about cetti, I thought I'd give her chance to settle back in first. Anyway it's done but of course she may have changed her address.

If cetti has changed her addy, I have a throw away one for AB and can ask her to email me on it.
Hi folks
Bit dull and misty here today .Bit of a let down after the last few days .
Nothing doing .
Lol Jno ..brown mush .You sound like Mr S who is colour blind .
Certain colours are brown mush to him too which is why I have to trail around with him when he needs clothes or else he gets ghastly stuff which doesn't match .He came home with a lovat green suit once .
He said it was grey ....I took it back :)
Yes it would be nice if Cetti wants to join us .
See you later .
yes, it must be something like that, woofgang. The camellias are actually a decent size and should stand out, even from a distance, but I suspect my eyes are not doing pointillism so much as greatfatblobillism.

Hello all, had a non domestic engineering today because I can. Went to a local nursery and ordered a delivery of earth, then on to the craft shop for a teeny splurge. just had honey roast cashews, pretzels and a sherry for late lunch.

Ps I took the dogs out with me and fed them cold chicken in the car, they are now asleep.
I'm happy too for Cetti to join us.
I hope you've all had a good day. I went on a big shop to Sains, +Petrol fill-up and then Boots (Shop not footwear). Then had a late lunch. This afternoon I've sorted my BB and Phone with Orange. It is much cheaper than Virgin but the service may not be as good. Anyway I'll see. I can always move somewhere else if I'm not happy.
Off to make a cuppa now so have a good evening all!

Lovely bacon sarnie in home made bread for dinner. Dogs had to be woken for their chew, woken for their dinner, woken for their share of my dinner (they had chicken on account of Shughy not being allowed pork) and they are now asleep again.
Why are word getting underlined and red. Is it just advertising.

I am not seeing any underlinings on a mac through safari
I'm not getting it here, Jude. Some words and phrases to turn into links, eg if you put one to Amazon. Presumably that is an advertising deal. But I can't see any here.
