'When things go wrong, as they sometimes will and life's a struggle - all uphill...' Can anyone tell me the poem please? Not the cheeky version I found on a birthday card ! :-)

Hope you've had a good day, Robinia. Here's my funny friend again, I thought he should be here on Poem as well. How I managed it - oh I just kitapulted myself out of bed in the middle of the night, and- ...no, really, I'm a night owl anyway and I live smack dab in the middle of everything, so it only took me a couple of minutes to do that. There's a 7Eleven close to where I live that never closes ever. / That was a lovely song you played for your son, I've never heard it.

Well done Jude, and lovely lilacs!

Nice to see you jno, I was beginning to fear that when you said you were giving up your jetsetting you meant... us!

Vinny check your email!

I just noticed that "Gina" and "Humphrey" have their own bios - read them if you haven't, it's so funny!

Back a little later.

good evening....ooph you wouldn't think that strawberry gateau would stick to the wall like that....
hehe - fill 'em with fizz & E numbers & watch 'em go.....
I've saved some for consuming during tonight's viewing, I'm not one of these party animals like our Jude & it feels like it's been my birthday since Wed anyway.

mmm, soup bowls & a mammoth notepad from my sister....yes, very droll....I think she's trying to tell me something, but I've forgotten what...

been rather chilly 'n breezy...way too draughty to don the hippy skirt.
I know how you felt yesterday jno, I was frozen to the bone & in my case that doesn't take very long.

hi Dolly glad to see you've not forgotten how to do the symbols

shaney I think that you & Kit should show us how the biddybelly-dancing's done while the Swedish chef cooks us some donuts
hang on.....
so thats where you go instead of skittles Vinny

& you'll not be ogling anyone's bossoms either but you can look out for some guy on a bike, you won't miss him....I told him to be sure of riding on the pavements as most of 'em are clogging up the roads with their horse 'n carts down there...
oh there he goes
...erm, robinia, I'm a fat cat with a bad back - YOU dance!

Whew, I'm at a shabby basement internet cafe where I went because I had a lot of advanced stuff to do on the net, but all I've done is help this ninety-year-old biddy (not far from, I promise) who didn't have the first idea how to do anything. I helped her with absolutely everything, but when finally she asked me to lick her envelopes... I drew the line. I hate glue. And I'm evil. (There's water upstairs, she'll manage.)

This guy, Thomas Di Leva, walks the streets of Stockholm dressed like this - he wasn't styled for the video. He's done his thing for about twenty years or so, he's quite genuine but might seem a bit over the top in a New Age-way when you're not used to him, I suppose. Not understanding the words you may think the girl in the video is afraid of him, but it's more like... you know that saying, it's not your darkness that scares you, it's your light. Well, he symbolizes that - I guess.

Gotta go, that old broad robbed me of my hours...
Hello This is the 'Chinese Laundry' proprietor speaking!!! Washing done and collected.I've told him if he wants me to do another load he has to bring only one basket full!! Thank goodness it didn't rain.
Hi Kit didn't understand a word of what that guy was singing about but it sounded ok to me.
Off to watch the snooker now. It's got me hooked that much I'm not going out tonight. Have a bet on with my plumber on who's going to win. If Selby wins I get a bottle of Baileys and some steak. He gets a bottle of Jack Daniels if Higgins wins.
In the words a la Vinny catch yer later dudes!!! :o)
My daughter came home with a hugh bag of mixed washing from a friend who has no facilities so I've also got a chinese laundry at the moment, only good thing is they are modertn clothes and in my size so watch out village she come a very modern neti.

now, I'm a bit curious as to what Kit was up to re 'advanced stuff' & in a basement? mmm, not running one of those virtual businesses are you? I think we should set up a virtual biddy shop that sells blue bags & libbies...open all hours of course...Dolly can do the night shift
oh & I have men in white coats following me all the time

actually I'm not flat on my face at all - I have in fact discovered a wonder drug & I'm once more wide-eyed, bra-less & 24

tis a miracle

life's so unfair

Question Author
but of course....
ah yes, I used to be fuzzy like that too... I've only come into sharp focus now that you can see my wrinkles... pouring with rain here, hurrah! <crosses out watering garden and washing car from to-do list> no bossoms in the USA, Vinny, you'll have to make do with Robinia's upskirt shots.
... Virginia and Maryland were lovely, hot and sunny most of the time, full of history, lovely well-preserved old towns like Annapolis and Yorktown.... The queen's also been there to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the British Empire (Jamestown was the first colony), and in fact our visit was related to hers in ways I cannot reveal or else I'd have to kill you. Anyway, we were there first, in glorious weather, and she's there now in rather chillier and occasionally stormy weather, so I had the better of it. I gather she's at the White House today - rather cool right at this moment but the sun should be warming it up over the next hour or two - and is getting a 21-gun salute, so I hope they're all aiming high

I wondered who that person was in the park with the binoculars.I shall have to be very careful what I say while that butler is around ..I often wonder where he gets his extra money from .
Lovely pictures Jno !!

We've had a phenomenon here today ...Rain !!
Evening All Not been on earlier because today has been taken up with Car Boot, Visiting a friend, Friends visiting me and snooker....And it will be back to the snooker in a bit. I have a bottle of Baileys riding on Selby winning or if he loses it will cost me a bottle of Jack Daniels.
Great Piccies Jno you really are a good photographer and you visit some great places.
Is that really a piccie of you Robi in your younger days. I will have to find one of me but I'm not at all as attractive as you. I will have to get my sister to scan one for me. I will have to treat myself to one if I get into this photo business a bit more.
Well I'm off now, hope you've all had a good Bank Holiday I'll be back soon bye for now :o)
