Right ladies
The sun is out the sky is blue and it may very well hot up a bit a bit soon which means less slap. .This winter has taken it's toll on my skin and in spite of exfoliating ,cleansing and whatnot it looks dingy to me .
I don't expect miracles at my age but just need something to brighten my skin a bit and make it look a bit fresher .Do any of you use face packs on a regular basis and if so what can you recommend .

I've just had a couple of hours watching Homicide :Life on the Streets .I had a pomegranate and a cup of lemon tea .Very exciting .
And that dear friends is me done for the day .I'm going to wend my weary way to bed .
I don't intend to get up very early tomorrow either !
Goodnight ..I hope you all have a peaceful one x
night Shaney, sleep well. I will be holding out till midnight to get past the chucking out time comedians with fireworks then bed for us too and a lie in tomorrow.
Popped in to say goodnight after watching the film Australia on my new TV. My sort of film really, uncomplicated but full of action and nice story, if a bit corny and fantastic scenery, couple with the gorgeous paring of Kidman and Jackman.

Good news about Mr S. Sounds as if things are going in the right direction.

No fireworks here, although there was a display on the racecourse earlier.

Nets, yes Mr LL does speak and read Russian. He spoke Russian and German until he was 7 and continued to speak Russian with his parents until his Mother died 17 years ago. He didn't speak any English until they came to England when he was 7. Russian Channel is from Moscow and in English and Russian - no doubt Mr LL with enjoy it and bring his language. up to date before we go next year.

The IBS tabs seem to be working now, I am not in so much discomfort and the flatulence and escaping air have calmed down!! Am very tired though and slept all afternoon.

I suppose you are all in bed by now, but sleep tight.

xxxx
Last to bed and first up? No, I expect Woofie has been up and about and is now snoozing again. Hope the dogs have recovered from Bonfire Night. Hope Mr S. is feeling better this morning and that Neti's back is easing.......................................
............
(3 hrs sleep yesterday afternoon meant I woke up very, very early this morning!!) x
a pretty quiet night here - really, not enough noise to upset animals. I suppose it's because suburbs tend to centralise their fireworks displays in open space and people go to those rather than stage their own these days.

Should anyone be planning to have a baby on November 5, I should like to point out from experience the considerable difficulty in finding an ambulance in the evening, as they are all rushing about aiding people with rockets up their noses. Or at least they were 30-odd years ago.
Good morning, it's been storming here all night and is still bucketing it down.

No such luxuries here jno if you are having a baby you have to get yourself to the hospital. When I miscarried y twins I had to get a taxi. Oh the joys of living in Paradise.

No fireworks, cos even the Brits who would normally celebrate (with permission from Town Hall) must have been drowned out. We had two long leccy cuts in the night, but all equipment seems to have reset themselves so no re-booting needed. Just have to reset all the digital clocks!!
Not planning any babies actually jno!! But hope jno junior had a good birthday. What age is he? I always sort of imagine he is the same age as LL junior!

Mr LL now gone over the soggy fields with Meggie. Whilst the rest of the UK seems to be experiencing good weather we have been under cloud and drizzle for the last few days. Norfolk at it's winter best - muddy roads from tractors all over the place.
Morning all...lovely bright one it is too. Last night stayed fine here & there were LOTS of fireworks. Neither Charlie nor Mac bothered in the slightest about them so I was lucky I suppose. Mac would stand happily in the garden watching them with me. I do feel for the wildlife.

I'm so pleased for Mr S shaney, and you too. It's one day at a time now, he just needs some emotional & physical rest, you both do, and slowly 'normal' will be resumed. You put it well when you said it's like living in a bubble, whether you're the patient or the family that's exactly what it is, it feels like 'Us/me and them'.

My diet's very restricted now Lottie, and it's often so called healthy food which makes it worse...too much salad, heavy wholemeal bread, brocolli (yukky anyway), rich fruit drinks, onions, too much meat. Apparently the worst meat is pork in any form and even chicken isn't as easily digestible as people think. (It went through Charlie like a dose of salts)

This is a good article...

<counts on fingers <adds toes>> 29 this year. Kind of a bleah day here, no rain, no sun. Maybe I will just watch more DVDs for charity.
Mr LL will be 29 in May. I was right about their ages, then :o)
Hi Robi,

Will read through that link. I must admit since I have been watching what I eat for the last few days and taking the Buscapan things have improved. I think I will cancel doctor's appointment and wait for the return of my own GP to discuss the whole issue, seeing as I feel somewhat better. Have a white loaf cooking in the breadmaker at the moment, but have added a small amount of mixed grain flour which isn't as 'rough' as wholemeal. Trouble is Mr LL has to have a 'healthy' diet, and I should as well to keep my blessed weight down. I don't eat huge quantities of anything, but suppose the only way to go now is to eat very small quantities. Still, I am such a slow eater that it may mean that I will finish at the same time as everybody else in future.

Meggie doesn't care two hoots about fireworks. The other year I took her for a walk round the town, forgetting it was firework night. She kept stopping and looking at the displays in the sky - really interested and the bangs didn't worry her at all. Just as well because it's shooting season and we gets loads of banks around here (not forgetting the crow scarers in the growing period). Woofie's boys would be in a permanent state of panic!!!
Ha, ha 'Master LL' not Mr LL. I haven't got a toyboy!!!
Hija is 25 which makes her only 4 years younger than your two, so are you all a lot younger than I or did you also have them late in life, I was 42 when I had hija.
A week off before my 36 birthday, Nets.
ah that explains it, almost a teenage pregnancy then Lottie!!!!
we get gunshots too which don't worry them at all...fireworks must sound different.
Buscopan is amazing stuff, very good. I also use colpermin for ongoing management but too much gives me the runs. The best thing for me is an old standby, Collis Brown's liquid. It contains a minuscule amount of morphine and is increasingly hard to get hold of (I buy it online) but it really is the bees knees as far as my tum is concerned.
We finally settled at about half past midnight last night, up at six for breakfast (dogs not me) then back to bed till 10. The boys both have runny tums today but are pretty chipper, maybe too much steak?
Ha, ha, should have said a week after my 36th Birthday Neti!! Why I typed a 'week off before' is anybody's guess. I am late April he was born on StarTrek day (May the 4th be with you)
Afternoon Woofie!!
