Right ladies
The sun is out the sky is blue and it may very well hot up a bit a bit soon which means less slap. .This winter has taken it's toll on my skin and in spite of exfoliating ,cleansing and whatnot it looks dingy to me .
I don't expect miracles at my age but just need something to brighten my skin a bit and make it look a bit fresher .Do any of you use face packs on a regular basis and if so what can you recommend .

We have ended up with a 26" Neti. That suits us fine. Yes, the 24" seemed just as small as the old tele. Have been watching the Russian Channel!!
We had to get a man in to set our new TV up, cos it needed Sky and also a Spanish digital box, and a dvd recorder. I daren't dust behind it in case I dislodge one of the many plugs there Is the Russian channel in Russian and can Mr LL speak it. I tell you it's damned hard to read Russian cos the letters change wherever they are in the word.
hello all. Chilly and grey here. I took the dogs out this morning then again for a ride later. Got the garden door open now for as long as poss before I batten down and issue drugs...will be glad when tonight is over.
looking very black here so any fireworks round here will be fizzlers. There was quite alot of banging last night but it's the first I've heard this season.

Just back from the megamonstermall at Stratford, where we treated jno jnr to a birthday lunch. Godoness, it's big, but not as poshe as the west London one, which has an upmarket section full of De Beers and Dior and Jimmy Choo. East London has a Primark, which caters only for the more vulgar sort of customer. Both of them have got Justin Bieber in on Monday to switch on theri Christmas lights and sing a little.
lawdy, my spelling...
"Batten down and issue drugs" hang on woofy old bean, sounds like a Rave party to me, I'll be there!!

Yes it will be particularly bad tonight, alas we do not have it here (obviously) and I do miss a good old bonfire and fireworks (the pretty ones) and a baked spud:
hello jno you weren't there when I posted :0)
and now I'm not here again

Hello chums
Mr S is home and no catheter . He can pee but says it's like piddling red hot needles at the moment and has to retrain his bladder muscles . Lots of sighing and squeezing . It has to go in a jug and be measured and a note made of the output .
Hence I need a new plastic measuring jug :) Antibiotics for a fortnight due to this infection .But he looks alright and is mighty relieved to get rid of the appendage .

Not many fireworks here atm .I think the weather has put a damper on it .
Hope your pooches have a quiet night Woofy .Poor old Shaney hated fireworks .He used to get on my lap,and he was no lightweight . I used to have to turn the TV right up and mollycoddle him .

We thought the flatscreen would take up more room Lofty and ours is a 32" We now have more room than with the old tele .I love it ...you can see every wrinkle especially with HD :)

Ooh Happy Birthday to Jno Junior ....
See you later folks .Be good .
I fried up some steak and stuffed two kongs (hollow rubber dog toys) with it which kept them distracted for a while and I've got the extractor fan running in the kitchen and the tv on loud...hopefully the worse tonight is, the less noise there will be on subsequent nights.

It's like that here Woofy .We have fireworks at all times of the year .Clifftop Festival ,Maritme Festival etc .There was a crew who lived along here ( they've moved now thank goodness ) who had a firework for every occasion .I think if someone broke wind he would let off a firework .
One evening quite a while ago ,in the summer , we were sitting in the garden,.nice and peaceful, quiet drink ,and he let rip with them because his daughter had passed her driving test .Mr S let rip too ,with a few choice words !!

Btw Lofty ..re the IBS ..many years ago when I first went to the doctor about changes in my habits, she diagnosed IBS .I said I couldn't understand why because I ate plenty of fruit and veg ,brown bread ,pulses etc .
She said that you can eat too much roughage and to pad it out with a bit more stodge :)
You can't win .I've got some brussel tops my bro fetched me this morning from the Farmers Market and although I know they'll go through me ,I'm damn well going eat them ...with loads of butter and pepper ..lol.
hello shaney you weren't here when i posted. typing one handed so no caps and minimal punctation. i have one dog squashed behind me and one resting his full weight on my good knee having already trashed my bad knee when he panicked. oh well no walk in the morning. I've got simply on really loud....love all the sparkly poppies.
Well done Mr and Mrs S! Now keep trying to pee, all will be well! x
sorry i forgot, yay for peeing. if mr s can tolerate it, sipping water with bicarb dissolved in it, small level teaspoon stirred into about half a pint and sip till its gone, can be soothing.
Question Author
I'll mention that to him Woofy .Thank you .
He's gone to bed ,he's very tired .He doesn't seem to have much appetite either.

I cooked him a light meal but he just picked at it .Perhaps if he gets a good nights sleep things will look better in the morning .
i am sure he'll feel better when he's rested. he, like you, has been under loads of stress
Question Author
It has been a bit stressful I suppose .Bit like living in a bubble .I just hope this has done the trick .Next hurdle is the scan results ( for the cancer check up ) in a week or so .Once that's over perhaps we can get back to some sort of normality .
Although you've had a far more stressful time than I have Woofy xx
It's nice to know we are all here for one another .
I think you are both very wonderful and caring people, I have absolutely nothing to moan about, but I whinge on and on.

Love and best wishes to you both and to Mr S xxx
whinge away neti, i feel very blessed to have you all.
stress is stress. you can't quantify it by whose is the worst.
I'm glad things are flowing again, shaney. You may not be the one who's ill, but you still have to do a big chunk of the worrying, and nobody to send you grapes and flowers.
