am going to use one tonight for chicken, can I put the potatoes in with the chicken and will they brown, cos if I have to put them in seperately it's not worth using the bag!

Actually all I came in for is to complain (which I will be doing in real life pretty soon) ..at 10.30+ they're still making the biggest racket next door. Sounds like a sander to me...there's music, loud voices...it ain't on I'm telling you! I've had the day from hell, my head was fit to burst & making me feel sick & faint, so I was relieved when they went home about 4ish....and then they came back at 8, grrrrr.
Hey ho...I can wait.....gardening's a very noisy business... :o)

I went out to a German function at Christ Church Spitalfields, of all places - it's still in use as a church on Sunday but just an exceedingly grand event centre the rest of the week. Had champers and some rather horrible risotto along with other nicer canapes. But it's the risotto that I can still taste. I even saw Whispering Dan Cruickshank outside - he lives round the corner, I think, so he was probably just on his way home from filming architecture in Hindoostan or the Trucial States.

So that's my brush with greatness for the evening. Almost packed now, leaving Friday.

oof DH got in at 23.30 having had a good time, bed at 00.00 and up at 04.00 to get rained on...my this coffee tastes good.

Robi is your house a semi? I knoiw exactly how bad that noise can be, with my neighbour at the back last year drilling and banging into MY wall, and he went in til midnight sometimes, so I had to denouce him. Even my teeth were rattling at times.

Am still in bed with the cat who is being very well behaved this week, no leaking and this is the first time she's come on my bed, and only then at 7.30am!

Morning Everybiddy. Raining and dull this morning. The noise next door to me has stopped now thank goodness. I have to wait now and see what my new neighbours will be like. It's only a small house so I don't expect a large family. Not that I would mind as long as they were fairly well behaved, but I think I might get a single Mum or a couple with 1 or 2 children or just a working couple. I really don't mind as long as they're friendly.
Sorry you still have trouble with yours Robi. they can be a pain in the proverbial and when you're not feeling well too it's even worse. Look after yourself and feel better soon.
Haven't got anything planned for today so it's going to be bed-changing and housework then a trip to Boots for my monthly look around.
I hope you all have a good day and aches and pains are on the decline.

Morning...yes it's dark & wet here too. Funnily enough I woke up at 4am and there were blackbirds singing. I was hoping spring was on it's way but it looks like we might have some wintry wearther at the end of the month.

Yes neti, it is a semi...the good news is they're solidly built but that's bad news when anything's being removed or altered. With the newer houses just one clout & the lot comes down. Daytime diy I'll cope with, jobs have to be done, but night time's out of order. It wouldn't be so bad if I didn't feel so lousy I suppose.

Well for once I was relieved when I looked in the mirror this morning, when I did sleep I dreamt I had the haircut from hell. It was about 1cm long on top & very thin, then there was a bald bit and the sides were long! :o/

Where is it this time jno? Sorry if you've already said somewhere...

Want to thank you all (and especually woofy for bargaining with God) for wishing my daughter well (down below) She had to go to the hospital last Monday, and they put a camera (with a condom) up there, and she is completely clear of cancerous cells, but they said they could see that she had had them. It is such a relief although we had been told earlier that she was OK. She still has to have a smear test every year, just in case.

She has just floated out to the bank in a waft of FCUK which is vile, really headachey!

Grey and miserable here. There has been some rain I think at some time last night.

Blooming cat keeps bringing live mice inside and setting them free!!

Ribs are getting better thank goodness, so I shall shop today and leave bags in the car boot for Mr LL to bring in this evening. I am not going to attempt to carry bags!
Kindly friend is going to take Meggie out today. I actually had a bath last night!! The first in a long, long time. Can't say I enjoyed it, but I had it for healing purposes and it has helped I must admit. I will perhaps have another one tonight. It is just so boring laying in hot water and I never feel as clean as when I have had a shower - don't know why?

Dancing for you and Hija Neti! Robi shall I send you my submachine gun? My mum had the same troubles when her neighbour sold. The new residents hired workmen in their off hours, they used to turn up about 6 after their day's work and hammer and drill till 10...just a total pain.
Lottie glad to hear that the ribs are improving, have toy tried putting epsom salts in the water? its supposed to be good for aches and pains but you need to rinse it off your skin afterwards i think. I too am a shower person...bath about twice a year if that.

Robi what a horrible dream. Must be Charlie's old age blended with your own illness in the past, don't you think. I know the horrible, gloomy feeling in that kind of dream. Were you standing in front of a mirror in the dream as well? One often does in that kind of "mortal body dream" (my own term).
