We have water going down the back of the sink and it's running down the wall behind into the cupboard below .This is very complicated :)
The sink is only a gap of about an inch and half from the tiled splashback and has been set into a beechwood worktop .Over time this has started to go all grotty ,the grout is all nasty and any water that gets spashed around is running down the back of it and under the lip of the sink into the cupboard .
This usually only happens when Mr S is doing any washing up .I've tested it with a glass of water :)
My son is going to fit a new sink and worktop for us ....but ..
he's full of good intentions but we may have to wait a while ....
In the meantime is there some sort of waterproof tape that I can buy to shore up this gap pro tem.

hello all, would love to cruise down the broads again, enjoy it Shaney.
Jno, are you going to make up an exciting story about your face? For many years i has a missing front tooth and I used to say that a barstool was flying at me and I didn't duck in time.
Oh Neti, no wonder you are fed up but I bet Mr N and cat N are glad to see you. Robi I think its the heat, my insides are doing the salsa.
Jude that photo is lovely, you look so fit and pleased with yourselves and quite right too.
I have treated all my containers with vine weevil nematode today. Its a palaver, you have to water them, then water them with the vine weevil stuff then water them again. Worth it if it works though, I have seen my garden laid total waste by the horrible things. hardest bit was stopping Shughy drinking the nematode solution out of the bucket!
oh that looks nice, shaney, Lucy dressed as Charles I. I suppose if she had a black face she could explain it as being the result of having her head cut off. There are times I wish I could do that, or at least return to factory settings with proper teeth and everything.
Just called in to say thanks for your kind comments about my photo. I'm still grinning about it. Have a lovely day on The Broads Shaney. Oight oight Biddy Friends every where sleep tight.

Ahoy shipmates ..see you later .
nice day for it, at least it would be if you were on the North London Broads - have a wonderful time
Have a good day shaney!

I am feeling a bit more cheery today, settling back in, met gbf for coffee.

Mr N has made a lovely cat gate for double front doors to stop all the feral cats from coming in, well pleased.

Hija hasn't been home since I've been back, maybe one day!

Jno hope the face is settling down.
oh gosh what is hapening to all the good tennis players, now Murray has gone!
Are we all sailing up/down the Broads??? No one here.

Had a lovely lunch in Horning at a place called Staithe and Willow and then meandered home via Wroxham Barns .
Absolutely lovely and it's given me a much needed boost.

oh, that looks lovely... what a beautiful day.

Neti, I have spent the afternoon battling the dreaded flying ants. Especially the indoor ones. Plus I have checked us in for tomorrow's flight to Denver, fainted whenever I walked past a mirror, and necked nurofens to stop the face-ache.

This is the boat we went on

These are from Google images though .I couldn't get any good shots myself because it was packed out with people ,ducks and geese .Haha

Are you off on your hols tomorrow Jno ?
I hope you have a lovely time and safe journey x
Oh shaney how lovely, I wish I could do that! Love the windmill, looks soo peaceful, and that duck, I recognise it anywhere, that's Waddles, who was Mr N's friend at the golf course here, we wondered where he had flown to! :-)

That boat is the type I would be happy on (I don't do boats) I would love to up the nile a la Agatha Christie on one like that. So welcome back to dry land, did Mr S go with you?
after having a huge montrous cold sore on my lip in UK for 2 weeks (predictive text put hugh mongoose!!) I now have a very painful blind spot inside my nostril, really painful!
Happy holidays jno, bon viaje in Ibicenco!
yes, two weeks in the Rockies. Then we will be doing wedding related things for quite a while when we get back. But if I find a way of squeezing in a day on the Broads in the sun, I shall have a go.
....and you can take all us biddy broads to the Broads with you!!
glad you had a good time Shaney, you certainly had the weather. Neti, start hitting the multi vits!
oight oight all
Morning all...breezy day here.
Sorry I wasn't here to wave you off/welcome you back to dry land yesterday shaney but I felt so poorly and I had to shop and then supervise the gardeners, hedges have been cut at last! That looked like a lovely day but I prefer my feet on solid ground so I'd be more than happy with one of those waterside places and I could wave to you as you sailed on by.

Have a fabulous holiday jno, that sounds exciting. Yes, you have to have a heroic story for your face....the scar on my chin was a skiing accident/wrestled a mugger to the ground/scraped it abseiling down The Shard.

Hope you're all as fit and lively as Jude.

oooh, I can feel a song comin' on....♫....rocky mount'n high, Colorado.....♫
shaney you set me off with Lucy Worsley so I've ordered this, it's been on my wish list a while and they've just dropped the price (there'll be nothing on the tele when the tennis is over, shame Andy went out but he wasn't playing well)
