We have water going down the back of the sink and it's running down the wall behind into the cupboard below .This is very complicated :)
The sink is only a gap of about an inch and half from the tiled splashback and has been set into a beechwood worktop .Over time this has started to go all grotty ,the grout is all nasty and any water that gets spashed around is running down the back of it and under the lip of the sink into the cupboard .
This usually only happens when Mr S is doing any washing up .I've tested it with a glass of water :)
My son is going to fit a new sink and worktop for us ....but ..
he's full of good intentions but we may have to wait a while ....

Morning all, cloudy and chilly..what a dreary day it was yesterday, and cold with it. I think my shrubs have grown a foot over the past couple of days. Great tennis tho', well done Miss Cornitt... sorry Cornet... :) No Williams' left in the singles now, I get fed up of seeing them.
Well done jno, what I know about my family wouldn't fill a leaflet. I wonder if any of them were on the dark side, I'd be willing to give voodoo a try if I knew it would make me feel better :)

Morning all, slept all night with sister's granddaughter, which didn't please me, a fat smelly 12 yr old. Sis snored for Britain, granddaughter fidgetted and yelped for Britian, I am so tired.
we have been to kennels to collect granddaughter s dog as mother was away overnight, then we went to car boot sale, not much there.
just now having lunch, it is very sunny and hot here.

There was a good programme on BBC 4 tonight about the queens of country music .Only an hour but it was very interesting .They had cameos of Patsy Cline,Tammy Wynette and Dolly of course ,and also Bobby Gentry who is still alive apparently but hasn't been seen in public for years .So I'll leave you with an old favourite and say goodnight all ,sleep toight .

I love having the bed to myself, it's the best bit about living alone, it beats me why anyone shares a bed these days. After this long I couldn't possibly sleep next to another breathing/snoring body anyway.
Hope your morning wasn't too stressful jno...I'd like to swap lives with someone who's fit, pain free and filthy rich.
Well would you believe baby moondust is one today! Where did the year go? He's a chunky monkey now, not walking yet...my house looks like I'm getting ready to move, I have to clear everything below hip height when he arrives.

Hi all, just getting ready to get train to Gatwick for flight home at 20.45hr. Just bought a new long lopsided hem t shirt, 2 cheddar cheeses , 2 big choc bars, pkts of flavoured cous cous for salads, am stuffing things into suitcase like crazy. Bought sis a new iron which is ordered and she has to collect tomorrow. Ireally really do not want to leave.
