Locks For Writing Slopes?

I have bought a rather nice writing slope on ebay, however the lock doesn't work at all. Its quite easy to remove though and in fact I suspect that its not the original one anyway. I've hunted around but the only supplier of replacements I could find is in america and the p and p is huge.

Does anyone know of a UK supplier of writing slope (wooden box) locks please? Either new or old but they must work and come with a key.

Still very cold ,brighter earlier on but dull and grey out there now.
That sounds very frightening for that lady Jno,hope they catch whoever is doing it pdq.She shouldn't be in in fear of her life for just doing her job.
Think I spoke too soon about my leg ,I nearly had to peel myself off the ceiling in the night it was so painful.
I used to love bowling Neti and many moons ago we played in a team socially but I also doubt I could even lift a bowling ball these days let alone chuck it along an alley.
Have got a nice winter warmer bubbling away in ye olde slow cooker for dinner.
Hope you're all ok ..where's our Robinia ?

Dentist was pleased with my teeth, he is a lovely man. We have got roast chicken and cous cous for tea.

hello all, really cold here we had -2.8 in the garden last night and the tortoise heaters are going full blast. Am waiting for a new wine rack to be delivered.

Poor Robi, you do suffer dont you, just take care and look after yourself, we need you!!
I love wine racks, no idea why but there is never anywhere to put them in this small house, and we don't drink at home, so pointless really. I've a few bottles in outside fridge for next Xmas and we wont drink them even then!
Saw a 15 yr odl female doctor (well that's waht she looked lik and lept us waiting for no reason but she was surfing the net then got herself a coffee so when I said she could have done that earlier, she attended to us, my turn was 10 mins late. anyway she reckons I've damaged a muscle, at least that's what I think she said. She gabbled away and I couldn't get any of it apart from put on a warm compress, rest it, and take something that she has prescribed but have not got yet. (hate not got, we we're never allowed to say that in school!) I had a word with the clinic manager about my doctor and he said no idea, so I said I'd like to change to one that is there, so he said best to, and will do that tomorrow, I asked about my daughter's mexico who I've dealt with in the past and he's lovely and was advised that yes I could get him, then he winked, so guess it's for the best.

Dull and cold .
Sorry to hear you're unwell Robinia and hope you soon feel better.There's a lot of it about.I sit in the surgery with my fingers crossed as far away as possible from anyone who looks as if they're going to cough.I dread getting the lurgy after the last lot .
Hope the rest of you are Ok and am waiting to hear the result of Neti's visit to the mexico.
I'm making a cake shortly, just a fruit cake but I need complete quiet to do it :)

Are there you are Neti ...that doesn't sound very satisfactory .Hopefully the tablets will help.I think that changing your doctor may be a good idea.
Leg still painful .Just have to wait and see what she says on Friday .She did mention the ulcer clinic if it doesn't clear up.

yes i agree shaney, I am going to see if I can change tomorrow to one who is always there. You sort of build up a trust with a regular one don't hyou, but these very houng uns, well I'm not overly confident, we'll see how my arm goes on.

In the early 70's we had a vet who had a wonderful sulfur powder which healed my cat's bullet wound in a week with this powder, I've always wished I could get some, it would heal your leg in a week shaney!

Very true Woofy .I've just finished the third lot prescribed for my leg and they've done naff all except make me feel queasy and upset my insides.
Lol Neti ..I think I've still got some Thornit powder in the shed from when Shaney had a sore ear .If I get really desperate I may give it a try!
