Cordless Mini Trimmers

Does anyone have one of THESE or something similar? I need something light to tidy up plants & the smaller shrubs - I get a man in for the big stuff! :o) I wondered if it will only cut very soft new growth or if it would also be handy to cut down perennials that might be a bit woody?

Evening swingers
Not swinging here ..usual dreary day ,showers ,sun ,sun,showers ,wax on wax off ....
Red wellies eh Woofie they'll see you coming round the mountain in those gal ..I have green ones myself ..but the bl00dy butler never polishes them .To be honest I hate them :)
They used make my feet feel so cold in the winter in spite of thick socks and by the time I had struggled to tuck me jeans into them I used to resemble Worzel Gummidge .( Mind you I look a bit like Aunt Sally at the best of times )
The best boots I have ever had for dawgy walking were a pair my cousin got me from her horsey place . Mucking out boots.They are brilliant and I still wear them for gardening and wet weather in spite of having no dawgs to walk anymore .They are lined and warm and waterproof and don't make my feet sweat. .

So ..you have finally done it Jno ....good for you ..no more corporate waffle or mushroom departments ..this is what Mr S said at the time !

Vinny if you post another one of those unclickable links I swear I'm gonna get you... Liked the Che though! ...and your unpredictability in what you paint. Mucking out boots! I could use those where I'm going, Shaney - they've got horses. But no I won't be riding - one of the first times I tried to ride a horse I fell off and fractured my arm and one of the last times I tried the damned horse wouldn't budge and a riding school comedian shouted out so loud everyone could hear: What's-a-matter, did ya run out of gas, or what? And a little later, when the horse - again - wouldn't budge, he shouted Reading the newspaper is he? (referring to notices that were nailed to the wall and in front of which my horse had stopped dead...) /Love Peggy Lee, Shaney. Wasn't allowed to view the first of the latest two clips (suspect they were both Dinah?) - "the video is not available in your country" it says. Dawgs, I'm beginning to suspect that the real jno has been substituted for The JNO Random Phrase Generator, going off in the middle of the night and serving single sentences, or next to. Jno can you hear us? Where are you being kept prisoner? Does it have anything to do with saying bad things about your boss? I'll have the Barry Manilow oven gloves.

Something woke me up between 4 and 5 this morning and I listened to the radio for a while; they were talking about when the Beatles where in Sweden and a reporter had asked them at the airport if they could hear themselves singing over the noise of the screaming girls and John had replied: We don't really care if we hear ourselves or not, we've got the records at home. Then there was this big noise (probably what had waken me up in the first place) which I thought might be a low-flying air balloon (being heated) so I went to the window. Saw no balloon (probably was over my roof) but a man in a very red t-shirt standing on a roof across the park smoking his pipe in the early morning sun and standing in a landholder pose if you see what I mean. It all felt like a dream.

Vinny your ability to surprise was what I wanted to say last night (couldn't find my words even in Swedish.) And speaking of language: Neti I've been trying to remember a word you used rather a long time ago, I didn't know the word but looked it up and it was a synonym for England. It had a rather pompous and colonial ring to it if memory serves and when I looked it up my dictionary said it was often used by Britains living abroad when they talk about the old country. What was that word please, Neti.
