smelly carpet shampooer

I have a bissell carpet shampooer which is absolutely the bees knees. It is easy to use and really gets my filthy dog-defiled carpets clean again. The only trouble is that while I do clean it after use and let it dry in the air before putting it away, it is beginning to smell, I guess because some dirty water is always left inside it somewhere. has anyone else had this problem and found a solution to it please?
TIA

♫...We're all going on a water meter,
No more money going down the drain,
Filth and stinking on a water meter,
No more washing for us to do.oo..oo
For our whole lives through....♫

We are back. Shughy didn't howl the house down and Rab didn't eat the vet.
The less good news is that the vet says that the lump is not fat or fluid and might be a tumour. Anyway he is having it removed on friday.
Sis is in the US till Sunday so I will have my hands full. Positive waves please.
oh dear, I know it's a massive worry but stay positive woofy, I'm sure he'll be ok and demanding lots of tlc once it's done.

Jude, I'm sorry to hear about your friend, but I guess it is for the best.

Woofgang, I am thinking doggy thoughts (though so far all it has done is make me want to sniff strangers' bottoms). Good luck on Friday.

laughing jno....DO NOT surrender to that impulse. I still haven't hoovered. Its still sunny here, went to get tort in and she is sunbathing happily so have left her a bit longer.

I got a question removed today for suggesting it might be a good idea to stop hitting people and arguing with nightclub doormen....oh the shame of it! lol
Lol Woofy .You'll have to write a hundred lines :)
I had several removed yesterday but I consoled myself with the fact that [email protected] got docked too.
Had some jersey spuds for dinner .
They don't seem to taste like they used to or is it me ?
Question Author
were the jerseys cleaned or muddy? I think that the muddy ones taste better than the clean ones.
We just had hot roasted chicken for tea and I had mixed olives and feta with mine...delicious.
Well I bought them in Morrisons and they still had some loose skin and stuff clinging to them .They looked as if they had been given a bit of scrub or tumbled probably .They were nice but they didn't have that taste that I remember from years ago .
Browsing round the internet it seems I'm not alone .Something to do with the seaweed they use on them and intensive farming.
I'll fry the cold ones up tomorrow anyway :)
Think I'll turn in .Oight Oight all.
Question Author
yes i am up late tonight...got up early this morning to to make the vet appointment too....I am in beauty sleep deficit (of about 500 years lol)
Oight oight all
tut, biddies using their long experience of life to suggest that people should try to stay out of trouble? We can't have that, the Law section would soon be empty.

Was going to sleep but the hot flushes won't stop flushing
well.

It's raining.

That's about it.
Morning all...it's going to rain here shortly...a lot.

You're right shaney, I haven't had a good Jersey spud for years. In fact very few potatoes taste good to me, even the roosters I bought lately were awful.

I've given up on all this love and peace malarkey and I now recommend lamping anyone you take exception to at every given opportunity...and preferably with a large handbag filled with rusty tins.
oh yes, DT and his chum were at it with handbags last night. They are now having a little rest.
I wonder whether in years to come there'll be a google logo saying 'Robinia's 236th bithday'?

oh, it's like the oldest tree in Paris, that's 300 or so - it's a Robinia, and it's held up by sticks.
