smelly carpet shampooer

I have a bissell carpet shampooer which is absolutely the bees knees. It is easy to use and really gets my filthy dog-defiled carpets clean again. The only trouble is that while I do clean it after use and let it dry in the air before putting it away, it is beginning to smell, I guess because some dirty water is always left inside it somewhere. has anyone else had this problem and found a solution to it please?
TIA

busy day. Rab is healing nicely, enough that he can run around in the garden off lead and go in and out when he wants to provided that I an also in and out of the garden. He has been running around grinning and both dogs are now nicely tired. I have been having a bit of a sort and a tidy and we are now looking normalesque again.
Aren't those monkeys cute?
jno, I am pig sick envious of your garden...I will post some pics of mine to make you feel smuggerer.
Might have a glass of wine tonight. I got up this morning feeling as though I had had nothing wrong....maybe it was national biddy stomachitis day yesterday.
Lovely piccy jno, nice and fresh.

Been to Seaford, did not spend a penny in any sense, couldn't find anything to suit me. We looked for a cafe for afternoon tea, and they were all closed at 4.30! so came back on the bus and having a cuppa now.

Glad the hair looks nice lottie, could do with doing mine again but can't be bothered. It looks OK now and they may mess it up!
well, imran's been and put in a trip switch and waited for an hour for the lights to blow, so of course they've done nothing of the sort, and now he's had to go home. Grrrr

Anyway the switch is still in place so I'll make a note of it whenever it goes phut, switch it back on again, and hope that eventually it will refuse (so to speak). But so far it's being blimmin' PERFECT.
Evening all. I wish I felt like running round the garden, I've felt like crip this afternoon. Hope I feel better in the morning and I'm glad my hairdresser comes to me and doesn't take 3hrs or I don't think I'd ever bother.

jno you should know that lights only blow when it's dark :o)

For those who are interested there's a new Lewis tonight ITV, at 8...at least that's what the tv mag says.
Ooh yes ..I'm looking forward to that Robinia ..Laurence Fox .....I want to mother him :)
I saw that this could possibly be the last series .Kevin Whately reckons he's getting to old to be a fictional copper now .

gah, the lights finally went out after an hour and a half so I flipped the switch, but it was the wrong one and I turned off everything in the house.

And now I have poured chili sauce into my avocado instead of islamic vinaigrette.

Not really my day.
Question Author
lol jno, islamic vinaigrette. Electricity is the work of the devil.
Ha haha jno, Islamic vinegar, love it.
Tut ...Jno ..you must stock up on Prices candles.
Sods law .It happens here when a bulb in the ridiculous light fittings in the kitchen goes and which really should be replaced .
It trips the whole lot and I stumble about looking for the torch which I always put in a handy place .
It's so handy I can never find it .I can never find the ruddy candles either :)
I'm stumbling off to bed ..Oight Oight me hearties ..sleep toight .
Question Author
Oight oight all, thought Lewis was good.
Yes ,I enjoyed it too Woofy ....Nighty nite x
Morning all. I enjoyed Lewis too. That Laurence Fox looks like my identical twin nephews, he could easily be their brother.

We are taking bro in law to his rehab today to see him walking on his false leg. My life is full of excitement.

Robi I hope you are feeling better, you poor thing x

Take care the rest of you, laters.

I am sitting staring at lights waiting for them to blow but of course they aren't. 20 minutes so far this session. I'm trying just a few at a time to see if I can find the weak spot.
Question Author
well it jolly well saves on the leccy
Question Author
the weak spot might well be an overload, not a weak light fitting that will blow of itself but only when its overloads? If the group thing doesn't work, then you get to switching them on one by one until it blows..with luck, the last one you switched on was the weak one of if it isn't then you have a short list for the leccy man.
Jno, its usually a water heater that trips.
